i got up to the long I traded yesterday to a nice suprise and kept adding longs, I took profit on them all though when price started retracing tonight..

Maybe, or maybe not. I found it interesting that they parked it without attempting to challenge the trendline or supply, particularly being so close. Kinda like saving your old chewing gum for later.....I haven't seen anything yet to suggest this is the top.

I think there's a difference in the character and motivations behind the sentiment tonight and sentiment Sunday night.

Then, the whole world, smart, dumb, and clueless, were bearish on the EUR due to the reality of the Zone's problems. Thus the central banks started to cheer lead, one after the other. I believe they were clearly worried that if they didn't pump up the brakes, there would have been a series of train wrecks starting yesterday.

They had a window in which to act, and they took it. They knew a lot of institutional investors, dealers, as well as larger speculators, respond to CB's "moral suasion" (jawboning), because they can't afford the risk of being on the wrong side of real CB actions (interventions, direct or indirect, intended to stomp the market into diving for cover on both sides).

Now is a little different. China or Japan or USA or England are not about to come out and say that the EUR is too high and they're going to dump them. As long as the love fest is going on, the longs gently and cautiously taken over the preceding 72 hours or so aren't going to roll short at the rate the shorts were rolled over then.

But have the basic problems been solved?

Goldman said higher also this morning, were they selling into this? Did GS get a taste of their own medicine.

Your "technimentals" are a bit off kilter if that's the case.

The people that actually move this market, have a vastly different set of ideas as to why it needs to move than most realize. They could care less about anything peripheral. Like "investors".

As for us retailers, we're just the riffraff rolling dice on the stairs in the alley out back.

According to the COT, our puny 25 billion a day, is usually close 50/50 buy/sell, so we mitigate whatever influence we might have had.

Keep in mind, we would be no more than a ripple on the Indonesian tsunami anyway...

Some times i too get temper on my trades and the result would be the same that we all know : yep yesterday i lost $ 3k and now i look back n see that i have just gone in with no technicals and against the fundamentals but only the temper in my mind caused me and my trades out of control : i feel sorry for my self ?

Ultimately it was my temper which killed my trades and that was not because of trades to be exact : so still not out of that mood yet

Feeling sorry for yourself is the worst thing you can do. Take responsibility - accept it, and then move on. You're not a victim....you screwed up. So learn from it, and use the lesson to maintain discipline....next time you're tempted to go off-plan, remind yourself....

THis is where we have to learn the humble lesson from the market, I rebuilt my acct, got cocky and right back to where I had to rebuild it from again. I have made up almost half of what I have to make up again, and I will get back on track.

Is all about getting back on track, not chasing the market, so many people average down on losers because they think the market should reverse on them rather it has been going up and up and up. How many amateur retail traders do you suspect blew out their new or old $5K $10K account shorting into the bull momentum.

I bet lots did.

Also too many peple rely the turn of a moving average or whatever to base their decisions. WHY DO PEOPLE DISCOUNT THE CHART THAT PRICE HAS MADE IN ITS PUREST FORM? CANT THEY SEE THE CHART IF ITS RISING OR FALLING? Sorry for caps but i just dont get it. (this last part not directed at you)
