Did a short enter your mind as a possibility with the close below the psych line from the tweezers and the previous weekly low?

My thinking about these trades, is the fact not that they are M's and W's. We could care less, But if it helps to know they MIGHT form it can help you to take that second entry if you get stopped. Or it would be a great place to add on if you have taken some off that first tiny swing.


I guess my mind shift is to think more of what is possible when price leaves consolidation based on the idea that POSSIBlLLY a large order needs filled and the only way would be to accumulate more stops or pickup stops and PO's in the oppositte direction.

Why we can see the move one direction and a imedaite reversal. Not the 20 to 50 pip new area move, that may be a false . So that it catches stops then the pullback then gives a false signal to enter . The KEY is to watch our swings because as stated , If they allow a swing to break it changes the dynamics of the thought process. Stops are moved Some profit may be taken . Some may close 100%.

I went back and read threw some of the ATT thread . as They said many, Many times to TUCK YOUR STOP away. Don't follow the herd. Because if there are market makers. or not , We all KNOW where the majority will place thier stops.

Also many systems, almost all Advocate the use of the 4 hr and daily s/r -ppa lines. Then as I have seen in many threads, some even zoom down to a 5 min or 1 min for the entry. What is so different about that verses a touch entry. The key IS the line not so much the entry.

If we can learn to THINK like a trader that has such a large order that some type of manipulation is required to get his entry. It is stated all the time in many places. "They moved price to get a better entry" Or as Ponsi states in his book that is common sense. that we see double and triple tops . because they want that entry spot. So say they sell and let us move it back, Then let the smaller guys move it back to those levels.

The advent of the 35 pip rule seems like a solid idea. if a level is pushed about 35 pips through it will probally stay past it. But some observation on our part and we will start to see where the stops are tripped then how far past when the limit orders to continue are brought into play. Which can also be the bigger players move.

It should become easy to spot if your to continue a long you might drop down and enter some of your trade at a stop level. Then continue to buy to move past. At that stop level you might also encounter some Newbies straddle PO's for a short , so when the bigger traders reverse they get stopped on the high side.

This is all theory now. But another thing we have heard since thinking about Forex . Is trade with the big boys . go with the flow don't buck it.

The other thing and probablly the most important to me is the time frame . I am my worse enemy. I have posted for years that london normally trends one way till U.S anyway. and it makes perfect sense . There isn't a cross with London so no countries different ideas and thoughts.

Same with early Asia and Austrilia. they tend to compliment each other not fight it out as the U.S. london cross can. So the plan is to lower the risk and try and catch as many pairs at the reversal as i can hopefully get the second peak or test out of the way so i can cover then off to bed .

The pairs seem to allow for this type of trading all the time. I have seen most of the BEST traders trade this way. It would be a great foundation to anyones trading career. Then when you check on your trades think of managing them not so much of closing. Sure if your at a solid defined level take some off but also scout out the location where you can add that back and then some. Just never risk more than your initial entry.

We can double up accounts on 1 or 2 trades this way. But it is a skill that has to be thought out. Not just entering willy, nilly. As Tess and the ATT folks said and we do as well. A add location should stand on it's own as a entry. Meaning if you weren't in the trade you would be getting in there anyway.

Hope this gives a idea of what i am looking at . I will post up some charts showing some of the details as they accure.

Don`t know if i understand your question correctly,I hope you mean area 107.61 with this short, then yes you should consider short after 1h rejection if you didnt take it by a PO. But i think you should, it was perfect area and daily pivot was there also. And all with fibo zones. Friday was the reversal day , so even at London i would take it. I think that i gave some examples with that type of trade at begg. of this thread. ( Chris Lori pointed at this type of trade ).

Sorry for not being clear. Im refering to the 1h that closed below the ppa line, the one that caused the fake breakout. Not a strong close below the area by any means, but it did close through. Just wondering what your thoughts was on that as a potential short setup right after it closed.

Didn`t think about short after close like that ( too shallow close and candle got no momentum ), i would feel like selling on support, plus bullish divergence was creating.

Here is a chart of Aus/Usd , and a few thoughts. It doesn't matter about why your thinking something it is most important to just see what is happeneing . The addition of a few lines can really clear up any doubts.

I closed partial at 4 am, the first top after the breakout all intentions to add back on the retest . This where a PO would be better for me as I didin't add back . so closed second half alone at top of second spike.

I'm highly pleased with my trading but I'm not happy with my 35/50 cross and reverse trades. I don't know why but I can't get positive results from this kind of trade. There was a G/U 35/50 trade some 15m candles ago. I took the entry and closed it when the gravestone doji was taken out. Fortunately I got some pips back with a short @5675. Maybe I'll remove the trade from my arsenal.

That does seem to be one that a lot of people struggle with . that particular one you took . I see nothing wrong with . it was a good zone (fib) level after a lower low. Just at times anything will fail.

But as you said there are planty others to concentrate on.

Everyone should keep track of thier trades that way when you find that a certian entry just isn't working for you drop it for now. until you see whatever if anything your not spotting that makes it good or bad.

But that 35/50 was setup as perfect as they can be. . in my eyes.

I tried around 1.5660 and closed after the top held but didn't break my entry .

Honest, I tend to trust the S/R-ppa, for Fibs / trendlines, I would rather use both as more confirmation. Well, work for me may be.

You are right Ken. There are some many other entries and I should trade what I feel comfortable with.
