15 million is not a big order ... it is a common used normal private customers order ... so no names obtainable ...

I must assume it depends on the bank - the question was: what would the account minimum be to trade with a bank? And by "trade with a bank", I assume this means to be set up with the same interbank feed hardware/software as that particular bank, trading proprietary funds from an account at the bank.

I am not quite sure about any of this, to say the least.

why bother with currencies at all if you had 5 million?

Guess just few here know this... I know only that hotspots acc can be open with 750k.

Cloggie and Mercey should know they're long in the business...



Wonder if ill climb that high?? Probably not.. Im looking for futures brokers now considering to change in couple of months..

This is my goal for 6months which is achievable..

For example ... when you trade with more than 500K deposit ... then you must not sent money and open an account anymore ...

You can leave your money where it is ... you must not transfer anymore ... they have "Bankabkommen" ... it is ok when they know who you are ...

Then you go with all major global players ... not only with one specific bank ...

Generally, the "common trader" doesn't. The uncommon trader (a hedge fund, a large private, or even a smaller bank) enters a "prime brokerage" agreement with an entity like JP Morgan, BoA, Morgan Stanley or Goldman. You can Google the term, but basically the prime broker is the controlled-cost conduit to all the market services the client wants.

All depends on your requirements. You can get a good feed and use Currenex/Hotspot with all the majors without using the full PB services. A decent deposit will be required, monthly volume is of greater importance. Don't even start thinking about doing that with less then 500k/25mill a month.
