Im a bit late to the forum, I overslept but quite happy at the moment.

My short on the GBP/USD from last week 1.5500 and my second short at 1.5650 at 11am New Years Eve seems to be working out pretty nicely.

NO exit has been set for this trade as based on all analysis a sustained and continuous fall is expected.

EUR/USD is consolidating before it next move ether up or down. My personal bias is down, however we will just have to wait and see.

I guess my exact thoughts and my own view of 'common sense' when it comes to the Euro is this.

Today is the first day I can think of, as of late, that no big players were involved in buying the Euro. Only technicals are pushing the Euro up, but it is still very heavy.

It currency is about -30 pips or .20% down right now, and this is with the holidays.

So to me the equation is this.

No markets open {holiday} + lack of buyers {Asia CB's} = lower value Euro.

This is just my view, but I am just trying to grasp the concept of levels above 1.3500 ... when I don't see that at all, especially as normal trading starts picking up.

One thing I have learned throughout the years with news, is that

1. good news comes fast
2. bad news lingers for a while.

it is the beginning of the new year, and there has be absolutely no leaked information on good news for the Euro. That is a bad sign to me.

Either way, its all IMO.

{not to mention close of Asia's session & 1/2 way through Europe about with no gap close.}

I,m sorry but you never placed a short at 1.5650,
when i saw you were short at 1.5500 i thought you had a few problems,i kept an eye on that,you remind me of someone,if you are that person you need to back away.
You can remain irrational longer than you can remain solvent.

Jezek5: thank you for pointing out that I did not include the post. I agree and accept why you say I remind you of someone. its was my error to not have added it to the thread, in future however, I will make sure that my calls do not slip through the cracks like that one did. My apologies.

To prove my point, not all my trades are posted in this room. I currently have 10 lots short on the EUR/USD from 1.33835 I will post this now and you will see that not all my posts are ever declared.
