You guys are "brave" trading now. Personally I'm staying out till January 3rd, hit my monthly goal before Christmas, no need to risk anymore than necessary.

I haven't turned a wheel since Nov '08 when I went back on military orders. I've done staff work in the AF Reserves from '03 until retirement. My last flying was with United on the 757 and 767. I was bottom reserve so I'd get the callout when other pilots were sick, etc. It was nice though because I got to do some flying to South America and Europe.
I don't expect United to recall me until 2013 or 2014.

That's a RC-135 Rivet Joint in my avatar. I flew them out of Offutt '94-'99. Mostly desert time, although I got a few good TDYs to Mildenhall and Souda Bay Greece. One of my better TDYs was flying the Combat Sent (our squadron had the Rivet Joint and Combat Sent missions) in the Med.

I almost took a job flying with Skywest but decided against it as I'd just be away from home again. I've spent so many days on the road over the last few years that I'm a Platinum Premier (top 3%) with Marriott and will be a lifetime platinum shortly. I've got 173 nights in Marriott hotels so far this year.
Another friend wanted me to go back to Ryan International (I flew the Airbus with them in '99) to fly the 757/767. But it'd mean being gone for a couple of weeks at a time. Ryan International is not Ryanair; it's a small charter op in the US. http://www.flyryan.com/
I'm burnt out from being on the road and I'm doing fairly well trading FOREX at the moment. I'm using this time to recharge my batteries. Once I get all of my boxes unpacked and stuff put away (we also moved), I'll break out the golf clubs and get a season pass at the Air Force base here in Tucson. Of course if I have some setbacks in FOREX and find myself back to starting money, I'll start thinking about getting a real job again.
