yeah, but how many of those did you have in 2010?

i have done a lot of counting and going through the statements of 2010... i had more than 2k of those tiny scalps.
Ignored
I probably have about that. My avg winner has been coming up - it used to be around 3 pips - now its over five. I have gotten a little better about letting some run. but anything over 40 pips is still huge for me...

Even at 0.1 lots, that's quite a lot of money. Must've had a good return on your risk capital. Nice work.

Well, I have also the strange feeling that EU will roll over to ~3124 on ES down. There it may bounce back...

you are trading a lot more money than I do. i recall you said that you need around 20 pips per day? banking 20 pips every single day is what i try to accomplish, and it should be possible. so far i only had 2 days where i couldn't do that after i substracted an eventual loss.
from 2011 on i have a bit more than 2.5 years to make fx my source of income.

edit: business done for today.

I have set up an account at myfxbook for 2011 which should take care of all that statistics work I had to go through recently, and I found this.
funny things you can do provided you got a sound database.
Ignored
That statistic is a joke. Last time I check the total amount traded was only 600 Standard Lots which is next to nothing in Forex Perspective.

New rules come into existence every year for me.

This year:

Follow a trend from the start to the end with two positions(weekly, monthly and yearly trend) with small positions.

Once those are profitable(i.e. trend change will happen above my entry price) start trading the pair short-term with 3 medium size positions.

Just the rule for me. It suits my trading style. Might not work for others.

basically just that, yes.
i didn't imply that one should base one's trading decisions on this, given the fact the contained data is limited. it's just interesting to see what other traders in different parts of the world do.

the charts won't get impressed on this as well, it will do what it does.

Hi Allseeingeye,

nice, so we have targets which are nearby :-)

When the bottom of the recent drop was 3134 then I will favor targets around 3214

3233 is possible too, it is the 100% Fib extension of the recent moves

1.3156 is my stop out ... it is bounded by ema200 as well as the s/r line making it all the more important. Taking out of this would mean i get stop out and it might continue on to break new levels.. if it goes down below that than 1.313++ is in sights.

Need to clear break away from 1.31425 and than 1.31304 ... before it continues on lower... a bounce back from 1.31425 and as mentioned again the ema 200 on the h1 chart would see a higher high being made//
