We COULD bounce here. In this chart you see my pin that didn´t worked out. Bull sign? Not taking this so serious..holidays, new year etc...

This has been an interesting evening, a market that makes everyone happy. The shorts made good (Cloggie) and even the longs made some jing.. looks like no turds in the punchbowl as far as I can tell and the Mad Tea Party ride continues. Like they say, 'keep your hands and feet in the teacup at all times'

The US Dollar Index is 80.57 up 9 basis points.

Most markets are closed so movement is mainly by retail traders.

The initial reaction was down for EUR/USD and EUR/JPY

If the Commodities sell off on profit taking the funds will probably buy US Dollars and put them in the 2 Year US Bonds and the 10 Year US Bonds.

There should be not much activity and by 10:00 PM EST I WILL WAIT UNTIL 2:00 AM before returning to see where things are.

Watching CNBC live out of Asia Dow Futures are down 53

Yes, how can I forget those spikes. In fact encountered three such spikes in the last one year, two of them gave me losses.

It depends on Japan. Summer/Autom before last they announced possible intervention at 85.00 and in Nov 2009 they intervened at 84.80 to shoot it 900 pips up. If this time they repeat at 80.00, it won't be bad to let go first couple of hundred pips as insurance against a possible bad trade. ............ but you never know.

yep! short and longs were good, last week it was going up every night and a sharp fall in the morning, but tomorrow is uk holidays so not sure.

but it is always beautiful to start the week like today.
