My chart says so. The one I posted earlier. I don't argue with what my chart is telling me. You may see it different. That's what makes a market.

its followed a measured pattern since 2008 w/o exception.. no bias in the direction. LH and LL

well i built it off a weeks worth of data... all before august 2008.. the only thing new is the candles the market added. and the yellow tl.. the rest has always been there. do a little math and you will see where 2969 comes from.. or 1876. or even the last recent high 4280.. lucky i guess. 3189 should be getting a tough skin.. within 7 pips ..

This is very funny, there was so much talking about that everyone was always winning or got stopped at B/E.

A very important metric when talking sovereign debt is the debt to gdp ratio. Here's a link to 2009 debt to GDP: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of...by_public_debt

Note that most Eurozone (EZ) countries have a higher debt to GDP ratio than the US. So it will be harder for the EZ to dig themselves out of out of debt.

Complex question. Both have unique advantages and problems.

The one big difference between the USD and EUR is that the USD is the world's reserve currency. As a result many international debts are denominated in USD. That creates additional demand for the USD worldwide.

EZ countries are, one by one, experiencing debt crises. The PIIGS have become the BIG PIS (with the addition of Belgium). I'm working on a new anagram now that French debt is in question ... how does BIFS PIG work? And the contagian is likely to spread to all EZ countries as each of the healthier countries are having to bail out the weaker ones. As the healthy countries bail out weaker ones, they become more weak. Hence the addition of France to the list.
There is genuine concern about Spain, as it is a foot race between Portugal and Spain as to who will need a bailout next. Spain may be the tipping point for the EZ due to the huge amount of money needed to bail them out.

Edit: Instead of BIFS PIG, I think I like PIG FIBS.

Based on fundamentals, I take a mild bias into evaluating the currency pair technically. In the case of EURUSD, I'm bearish EUR for the above reasons. That doesn't mean I don't trade it long when the setup's right though.

I got caught flatfooted when the Chinese announcement supporting the EZ came out, causing a small short limit order to execute for me. It's ~45 pips underwater.
As the EUR climbed, I didn't bother checking on the news and took another small short at 1.316.
Finally, I picked up another small short at 1.3183. My average cost basis is now 1.3252.
Had the EUR broken resistance, I would have covered just above 1.32. However, I'm expecting the EUR to drift back down to support overnight around 1.31. We'll see how it plays out.
