Thank you for your reply.

I am a newby and during my current day job I have time to trade and I like this system, I just want to make sure I understand it and following the rules.

I also just want to make sure that the system still works as it seems that systems are only very effective for a period as the markets and situations change.

Sorry if I understand the forex market not correctly, I am here to learn from the best.

You are right that systems stop working after a time but this is watching price action. Price action will always be in the market and if you can read price action and manage that with S/R, Pivots, & TL you will be able to trade for years. remember, people traded this back 1,000's of years.

Last night was our first night with power...I was wore out fromm all the crap I had to do to keep things functioning and could not hold my head up to trade for Londons session... I was shooting for one position. My signal came about 45 minutes after I went to bed. I will take them next week.

Like simple said it is price action....same principle as buying groceries.

Hi Forex X

I used the system last night to do some pip collection...The system is very good when you start learning how to use it properly.

As for the thread...I watch it every day and I know of a few others that watch it as well.. It will become active again. Just ask a question...or start using the system.

FJ pointed out all through here That the F5 will teach you price action. Some of what I do is watch price action and use F5 for my entry signal. There were a nuimber of good signals last night.

Hope everyone got in on a good night tonight, these are the nights I look forward to, it's a home run type of night.

I look at trading a lot like baseball. When I played i was an awesome hitter. I would make that pitcher throw me 10+ pitches at every at bat, normally after that many I would get a walk or he would get frustrated and pitch in my zone to take a good stroke at. I hit for over .500 in HS, almost all singles a few doubles but a lot of walks to. I achieved the goal of a lead off hitter, i kept getting to base. (learned to bat like this after Rick Dempsy & Brooks Robinson told me to read about Ted Williams as a kid) Every once in a while, a frustrated pitcher would put one in my power zone and I would take a home room for the records.

This is how I "try" to approach my trading. I look to hit a lot of singles and maybe get a double or two, small little wins, (wish my winning percentage was as good as my on base percentage) and try to make my losses even smaller. I know a night like tonight will come around and then you get your home run where you can keep adding to your position. A night like tonight will wipe out my losses for the past week and make me a few bucks also.

Also, when you get as good as Rufus is getting, you get these home runs more often with a lot less losses! It's just practice, dedication, hard work, and screen time. Remember the 10,000 hour rule. that's how many hours it takes to become an expert at something.

Thank you so much for the kind words. It means a lot to me. This has been a lot of work I will bet I am fast approaching the 10,000 hour mark.

Your analogy with baseball is so true. I was the opposite style of hitter. I was left field hard hit balls with a lot of homeruns. It took a lot of rethinking to get in the habbit of taking profits along the way. I think the downfall of a lot of traders is the greed that gets traders to swing for the fence. Power hitters in baseball generally don't swing for the fence. The fence is a byproduct of their good hitting practice. The same holds true for traders. My goal as a trader is to simply trade well, the profits are simply a byproduct of that. Also with every position I put on it makes me a better trader. I tell myself NO RANDOM trades. Every thing is thought through.

A good hitter in baseball is able to see a 80mph fast ball in "slow motion". I believe that Simpleguy saw the same. I have always had a lot of respect for hitters who could take a pitch and punch it to about any open spot on the field and get on base so consistently. A true hitter, a master at his trade.

The same is for a good trader..See the position develop in slow motion. Effortlessly put on the position. We might strike out. Or we may get a hit. But it is up to the market just how "good" or profitable that hit will be. The key is to be ready for the pitch have a plan for entry and exits. Then run the play.

Great night for me last night. I hope others were able to do a little pip collection.

The key for me has been to keep things simple. Traders have a tendency to complicate things. Find something that works for you and master it. No bouncing from system to system, Like I have said, I have read 10's of thousands of pages of garbage to come back full circle to the simplicity of a chart. Then train your mind to see the setup happening.

I am not trying to be the expert. The day I become no longer humble to the markets and learning, will be when I start to blow an account. I will always be a student willing to learn. Then hopefully teach others what I have learned.

Trade safe.

And FJ if you ever come around your thread and see this. Thank you for helping me see the simplicity of price action.

Have you switched to his pure trendline price action strategY? I love how he started out with the emas and sotch/macd and the whole time it was just getting us ready for pure price action. I think that was REALLY cool

Not really...

This is where I have adapted things to fit my trading style. I still put the trendline there so I have an understanding of a direction. But I will look for my entries at supply/demand areas, fib retracements etc. I will silll take the standard ema cross and stochs. for my cue. Those entries are very often on or near the trendline as well.

My trades were or should have been on the red lines.

Trade 1: I saw the bar before the line as an indecision bar. I went in the trade at the close of this bar. I saw very small SL (bottom of the bar), a double bottom with the bar over to the left and the end of this bar was momentum. I took half off the table at BE+10 Moved up the SL and got stopped out on the pull back.

Missed trade 2: I should have gotten in at the green line or earlier. I went to the bath room and missed it. Now I was faced with the hard choice, chase a trade that you could see from the beginning that was going to be good or do nothing. I did nothing and missed the whole thing, smart play.

Trade 3; I put trade in after the Pin Bar. It's a bad pin bar. the wick is too short and candle just isn't as big as I like. The reason I liked it was because it pushed through the previous bar and the TL stayed up there and then had a small battle towards the top of the bar. You could see the orders going back and forth. It ended in a pin. I entered at open of next bar. It went up and down a few times, didn't like it, felt too early, so on the next thrust down, i moved SL to BE+1 and it got hit.

Trade 4: I entered off of triple top. It pulled back half way up the previous bar and I entered when it was going past the previous close. I got half off at +10 and then I just sat at BE. four bar later had a huge thrust bar. I manually trailed that with a SL very tight to get all those pips. Didn't feel like I should be happening, I was happy to get out with my second half at +25.

Now it's time to go back to bed for a little bit so I can be up in time for my job in the morning!

MAJOR POINT: Remember, I don't trade the basic force, I use a combo of advanced and expert to help me make my choices along with over 2 years of screen time, so I know my trades didn't line up with the indicators the way they should with basic and advanced.

Thanks for all your help!

I keep jumping from system to system only to find that they really don't
work and I keep coming back to the Force. I guess I just need to
quit looking at other systems and learn this one like the back of my
hand.

I really appreciated the goose and the golden egg picture. Maybe it is
trying to tell me something?
