Lol, I didn't' here that one. I guess that would be highly bearish for the Euro. For some reason I can't see that happening.

I'm still in a long over the weekend. I'm hoping it'll jump a bit higher but am half expecting it to drop before it hits 1.35. Just my thoughts. One day I'll make the effort to post charts and more detailed analysis!

I had a buddy mathmatically figure out with backtesting that a 6 is the most beneficial over time. On other pairs its often different.

Its annoying how they won't let you download normal data...

Anyway I downloaded dukascopy's java platform, downloaded tick data for a year back and used a converter to metastock + a script for interpreting it...

all good now with 99% backtest results..

"China may order higher reserve requirements for banks to counter capital inflows and a possible jump in lending at the start of 2011, said Li Daokui, an adviser to the central bank."

"The People’s Bank of China raised lending and deposit rates in October for the first time since 2007, lifted banks’ reserve requirements with five publicly announced increases this year, and has restricted loan growth. The one-year lending rate is at 5.56 percent, while the deposit rate is 2.5 percent. Li didn’t give a specific forecast for rate moves."

“Rate hikes are imminent -- we expect one by the end of the month, with more to come in 2011,” Brian Jackson, a Hong Kong-based emerging-market strategist at Royal Bank of Canada, said after the Politburo statement.

"China’s next rate increase may be on Dec. 10 and the yuan may strengthen at a “slightly” faster pace before year-end, said Shen Jianguang, a Hong Kong-based economist at Mizuho Securities Asia Ltd. who formerly worked for the International Monetary Fund and the European Central Bank."

I would love to see the downtrend continue for a little while. I would be great to see the yearly low be tested.

I cannot get my charts up right now (bloody weekend!) so I was wondering where is the trendline break for the daily for the downtrend to be broken?

Yeah .. but the market already felt that on Friday, I don't think this will affect much of the market as it is 'U.S.' prime time, about midnight in Europe or so & it will be the 'same' news as already heard from a few days back {in the future's time}.

How did the market feel that on Friday?? It will affect it since CNBC and bloomberg will be talking about it all day. Also do not forget that there are people and institutions in Asia and around the world who will be trading at that time. The market open's on Sunday not Monday. Mid-night in Europe is day-time in Asia.
Prices are never too high to begin buying or too low to begin selling.

But it 'reacted' on Friday, the sentiment of it is already there.

All I am saying is that it isn't 'new news', I can watch a CNBC report on the N Korea attack on the South a couple weeks ago, but the 'event' already happened.

The market reacts due to their confidence in risk/safe, the 'risk' factor of what he said already shown. So it isn't going to react twice. Might be some movement, but nothing more then before.
