Well, in an attempt to combat looming deflation, the governments has been pumping all kinds of money into the economies (i.e. stimulus, bail outs, buying debt). This we know because they've been very public about how generous they have been in attempting to fix the economy. What they haven't been telling us is that that money aint free and they have been covering themselves by printing just as much if not more.

So, right now while production is down, prices rise. Typically prices would drop in a response to lower production.

I think you nailed the last paragraph perfectly. If they don't perfect their balancing act, we could experience a low level hyper inflation.

I agree that the Fed is a joke and not constitutional by any regard, but it's structure is one of half private/half public, and by statute, all profit by the Fed goes into the government (treasury), which in 2009 resulted in 52 billion dollars.

I think it will be a cold day in hell when the Fed is disolved. The politicians care more for profit than they do for the opinions of the people they "serve".

Congress could do no better than the Fed and would probably just fck things up worse.

Some commodities are up & some are down.

The one place I'd love to see some inflation is in the value of real estate. No such luck.

Hell, if the government really cared about the people's economy, they wouldn't have set up the Fed in the first place; allowed savings banks and investment banks to merge; wouldn't have modified the law to accomodate the creation of Citicorp; wouldn't have made the possession of gold illegal, or divorced the dollar from gold.

From 1913 on, the government's main purpose has been to keep itself viable and in control. The problems of the people are in the backseat compared to keeping the big two partys in power and the flow of money where they want it.

I did the same for daughters college tuition.

Been having some great trades in the last few months though. So far I haven't suffered any SL's. But I've been trading the charts and not really listening to news, analysis, or forum talk.

Could be a connection there....or just dumb luck.

crazy day on the markets today

seems that euro sell unwinding. .. reality is since Ireland bail out agreement euro only dropped 200 ip .. nothing .. Monday / Tuesday loads volume and now we have this up day and as long as 3100 , 3300 test by tomorrow

Crazy whipsaw as well .... at least if they are going to screw bears they should be nice enough to do it in a straight line to make it easier for me. ...lol

i dont know about that. they would have to kill what they ate. to spend they would have to raise the money. if they hurt a voter.. they loose the vote. no kicking the can down the road. or blaming others for what you spent. id rather a balanced budget. if you want to fight a war or build a bridge raise the money dont put it off on the next generation.

my oldest daughter graduates from ohio state dec 12, thank goodness most was covered by scholarship ! oh. waiting for retrace to be over so i can resume shorting !!

I think the 'lack' of selling in the Euro is contributed to Asian market & a calm of the holidays.

I personally think, unless they come up with some kind of debt relief soon, the Euro is bound for parity of imports which will be below 1.2000

I'm still holding a short on the daily. Switched to the hourly for this retrace and hoping to add to the position once I get another short call.

If the momentum starts to wane....I'll probably cut and run. We'll see what the other pairs do in relationship.

i got a fu indi.. showing if we break 3093.. let it pull back, then short it and look for 30081.. when this works, its 100 % when it don't its less then 1%.
its not a true signal yet. . 3008 would be below the bs.. and pass a few 200 ma's.
