You went long at the box area of resistance and when that failed you went short at the intraday support TL that was formed during Asia. If you are a chancer, you can scalps some tiny longs of the TL for a few pips here and there, if you are looking for your 45 pips back that you lost earlier, wait for a confirmation of the TL holidng and take the 20-30 pip ride back to the resistance on the hourly. Whatever you do, no shorts here until we have seen the fake 'n shake of the TL.

If you are not sure what constitutes a fake and what gives you a confirmation, find a MA that corresponds to the TL and use that as your guide for the break or the confirmation of it holding, any MA that correspond to a daily TL that acts as support or resistance will do, they change by the day and the circumstances. That is probably the easiest way to identify it until you get the hang of reading the price.

Why are MA's handy as a backup in this case? The TL was formed by the price averaging out against it and thereby forming the line in the sand, so using a MA as guidance gives you a fairly good view how price is acting around the average for the chosen TF.

yeah needs to get above 1.3117, before supportline gets broken... otherwise it could make a head shoulder..

the mofu is i got stopped out my ej trade w/o hitting target. i only locked in 75 pips.. gave back much more.

looks like numbers overall on economic. Risk should be on rest of day and trading above 3100 and below 3160

i tried the yen once, will never again.
when i have the eu under control, i'll start looking left and right again.

today is a good day for both directions, because we have no direct rises, so chances and pips were there, which i took.

See how that TL is holding on the news, and see how we are testing the earlier resistance again on the hourly? A no brainer of a trade really.

Now don't go buying the resistance again like you did last time, wait for the fake 'n shake to pierce through it and form as a support first, if you scalped a long of the TL, take your profit at the resistance and watch and see what she is doing.
