Watch Gold. By comparison all other currencies are in a race to the bottom. The attack on the Euro is being encouraged by the Europeans as a method of competitive devaluation because everyone knows the US is in even worse shape. Wihtout the jawboning, the dollar would crash and German exports would take a hit. As soon as the futures roll over to March, the focus will again be on the pathetic condition of the US economy and paraplegic US banks like Bank of America.

Morning to all , nothing so exciting yet perhaps ,one 5th wave extension continues & little more bounce may be there . watching 3031, 46 , 56 & 64 and last 75 as to how it reacts , over it start different views if . overall bear continuation pattern.

NORMALLY, and after a longish bear run like we've had, I would say this is an intraday trend change in the making and would close or at least trim any outstanding shorts for max profit but... the Funnymentals are agin it atm and it's a Screwy Mess all a'rd imo.

we may be on the same page. if 3046 and passed just a pip. normally we go to the next one..about 3124.. but this aint normal times. .. we will c

There is no retrace here.

Until Portugal and Italy are resolved, there is no upswing.

The vigilantes can't keep the gun barrels hot forever, they'll warp & won't shoot straight no more. Portugal is not ready yet and Spain is likely not ever gonna be. Same old news won't put asses in the seats for free.

I understand your post, but my post isn't an opinion.

I'm stating the current facts of the eurozone dilemma.

Past currency history, for any currency, shows when there is an ongoing crisis, there is no major retrace until fears subside.

The only time you see retrace on a trend, is when one economy is just flat out doing better than the other, and there are no extremes.

For example during the AUD/USD run, the Australian economy was doing well , and gold was at an all time high. The United States Dollar wasn't in turmoil. It was just one economies growth vs another.
