AU Long Trade Update:

The euro and US sessions today quickly drove price down, then as trading remained high, the price more slowly came back up. Therefore, I see each move down nothing more than the PPMs gaining the low ground to exit shorts and go long on the slower moves back up.....preparations for a grander upside move.

Starting in several hours, the first of the asian session tomorrow, and following five hours later, there will be AUD releases....low, high and medium impact releases. If PA is to be pumped up on a grander move, it may be triggered at some point during that time. And if this is to be the case, then meanwhile the PPMs are likely to just keep it where it is while they prepare.

I added to the long position during the euro drive down, with EP now just below the whole number that PA is currently moving about. TP is set for the next higher whole number; a move certainly within the average range of a session.

The H4 shows PA has rolled over into a down trend (dollar strength), but all trends normally have good tradeable moves in both directions. In this case, H4 also shows current PA forming a Bull Channel which might be foretelling of an upside move to come.

So, we might get a fresh and good SonicR long setup tomorrow.

Most traders think making money are their main task, but's it's not. I believe traders have two tasks :
1) trying to be a better trader
2) staying in this business
There are a lot of discussion behind two tasks above, but believe me or not, making money is a result, not a task. Focusing on those tasks will make you money, sooner or later

Folks, I recommend you not only re-read Basber's post, but I heartily recommend you think on it, REFLECT on it for awhile.

And how do you "try to be a better trader"? You must be willing to ponder on your losing trades....why did you enter?.....was it the proper time to enter, or were you too impatient to trade?....what went wrong?....what should you have done at that point that you didn't? These type things and more, you must be willing to rethink. In the end, you will come out with certain "trading flaws" common to most of your losing trades. And now comes the hard part.

You must be willing to change! Clean house! Discard any abundance of useless indys. Go back to focusing on just the basics:
1. Smooth, spread out PA WAVES about the Dragon.
2. Dragon and Trend well angled in direction of trade.
3. Best if some higher TF shows something in support of trade.

PA, Dragon and Trend.....the basics. And patience. Not every day will yield a proper setup. As Sonic has posted, he often stays away the first day and the last day of the week, and those days he trades, he recommends the highest activity time of the day; basically London open to London close.

SonicR is elegantly simple.....PA, Dragon, Trend and patience. And it is easy to make the mistake of adding to it....our own favorite indys and other baggage. And then relying on it! Don't do it. Clean house and go back to just the basics; and focus on them (a couple of attached charts show examples of 100+ pip trades).

And any "bad habits" you have, that keep popping up as a problem area in your reflections on losing trades, well.....once you identify what is holding you back, be willing to change so you can grow. As Basber says, "...making money is a result, not a task."

The SonicR MACD is just a normal macd, but to which I have added some useful features. I intend to include it in the upcoming release of templates/indicators which I have been field testing.

The SonicR Volume on my recent posts is not NVO. It is a normal volume study (so true activity levels can be seen) that is tri-colored (below avg, up to twice avg, and more than twice avg. activitiy), and shows the average line across the histogram......an indicator I believe is the best of both worlds. It also will be in the upcoming release.
