Yeah, I heard he retired a few months ago. This market can wear you down. Very good of Stan to spend his retirement days with us.

And Knucks, I was looking at USDX. Haven't quite hit 38.2% fib yet. We could consolidate around this level (circled on weekly) but given time of year, I think unlikely. I'm thinking more of a shoot through to 50% fib. Daily and weekly charts attached.

Last week was a holiday week over here....... so I'm not sure I would take the closing price on anything just now.
lets start the 100 pip gap up rumor come on it'll be fun

(yes I think your right) Any pullbacks are likely to be short lived. If it dose pull back enough tho-------- I'm in again.

I share your view on the DX. I had 80.50 as my first target, which we hit Friday, if the euro rebounds as some say it will then the dollar may be in a channel. However, given how the dollar trades and the momentum of this move I find that unlikely, and a further up move of significance warranted.

Also, I don't have much support for the euro in this area, and the little that may exist should be discounted when you look at the positioning of the other major currency pairs IMO

Well if it gaps up, I'm in Think we are just going back to where we started in September - 1.26-1.28 area to end the year off.

Hope everyone is enjoying their weekend. I was just looking at this weekly. I'd stay bearish under 3690/3740. The market could atempt a bounce out of this 3260/90 area but it must do so this week. I'd say another close under that support, this time with a little more gusto, opens up a test of 2680/2750. Cheers, PTL.

Any thoughts of the gap for the weekend? I accidentally went 'long' on Friday instead of short without realizing it until after-wards.

Trying to decide if it will bounce back to 1.33000 {about where I went long} if If I should just get out of this order and then go short.

Your thoughts?

seriously though if they can't spin black friday numbers and the Irish bailout spin takes then we will probably bounce a bit. i'd assume that's in the cards anyway before they roll out the Portugal crisis
