To draw such a line from an object perspective, I would think that the line, on a candle basis, would have to be comprised of a shape on each candle. In mt4, with differing width of the comprising shapes per candle, you would have a slightly histogramic appearance.

So Alpari does not let you trade the Welly open? They opened 20 mins ago. Welly and SY are great for stophunting the retail money on a Sunday evening, the only reason to trade really until TY opens.

Welly is great to get retailers to sell them euros only to drive the stops out, picking up what they bought earlier and bring it back, "easy" money both ways.

no, they don't. oanda is open, which is my trading platform, for 2:20 hrs now, but the spread is at 10 pips atm. this is always the case before 22:00 (gmt
+1).

So with Alpari you miss Welly and Sidney, that seems odd. They must do that because they know what Welly and SY are like so when their price feed goes live it takes out the retail stops, nice way to start the week for a broker.

on demo that is, can't speak for the live servers. i only use them for charting purposes... but there is another strange thing with alpari, and that's the closing of the H4 candles... they close at 08:00, 12:00, 16:00, 20:00, 00:00, 02:00 gmt+1... that is very much different from many other's closing times around here.

Sunday evenings are always like this, only 2 markets open so they have no competition in driving the price where they want to mop up the easy money, be the only ones opposite the weekend holders, plenty of brokers off loading positions, only to bring it back to where they bought/sold in the first place, so they are the counterparty, they take out the stops, and bring it back to zero, mopping up all the money in between.

Then the retailers come out and start their fantasy gap trading only to become victim of Welly tactics, lovely to watch and fairly easy to follow. I bet you Welly mop a few mill each Sunday evening doing this. A good friend of mine down there makes his biggest trades on these.

MT4-Language is C-like, and I have no problems with this language.
I started a few days with this platform, and what I want understand, is its potential. (Although I can not say that I like MT4)
So far, I have seen very little limits with its potential, though I am not a programmer. The coders I have seen around here & elsewhere have been able to do quite some amazing things so I would start with the assumption that it should be possible.

I'd better stop quoting prices here soon, the gappers will be here shortly.

That's it, you are getting the hang of this Sunday evening setup, lovely drift down over the weekend, that your broker does not show, and a good open on Welly, now we got SY coming up and then the retailers start throwing their money away.

At least your broker does not show a gap that other retail brokers show the majority here, but you still have missing data in your feed, just not as bad as others here.

The high sofar is still only 3713, price now 3709

At least we have a few more here showing data that is not as wrong as other's feeds. Now maybe some of you are going to see this "gap" trading in a different light, and more as stophunting by Welly and SY, which it really is.
