Some speculation. First, I am still in my original short trade (going on 3 weeks?). I believe the Big Boys are stock piling shorts on this. I say this because you can see from the attached M30 chart that it has been ranging for days. And during that time, including today, there have been two deep selloff drives down from that range followed by the price being restored to the range. You can see from the attached H4 chart that price has been driven down on these shorting drives to the 1.6000 area, which makes it significant. A break of that level spells a reversal to dollar strength (seasonal at least, imho). And it is interesting that an H4 SonicR EP Zone for a short setup currently occurs right at the break of that SR area!

At this point, all this being considered, in addition to favoring SonicR short setups, I have resumed adding very small amounts to my original short trade on swing highs.

I got this FE entry @ 1.3740 but news from China confuses me so i moved SL BE +1.

Dksolo, I too have been looking across majors for any sign of a late possible trade. But, in the back of my mind my voice is saying to me that the PPMs have already roller coasted the pairs today, and are probably closing down early for the weekend.....with lots of ill gotten gains in their pockets!

My H1 for EU, purely technical, shows PA ranging (like GU). Today the PPMs shorted it down and brought it quickly back up into the range. My speculation is (like GU) the drive down was a shorting spree. The PPMs halted at a key level, rescued the price back into the range....setting up for more of the same, but not likely until next week.

But, you can never be sure. There have been late Friday drives before on occassions. I just think that EU has been driven down very hard, as the chart shows, and the PPMs will therefore likely be wanting to stabalize it for a while, so they can consolidate, or organize their positions before another substantial drive down. And there is always the possibility, that with such a hard drive down having just happened, that next week the PPMs will first focus on "recovery", or hiking it back up 200-300 pips before socking it again.

Conclusion - Personally, by shorting, I think you are on the best side. But it could be a rocky road (like GU) until the PPMs break some significant lower barrier and let all hell break loose.....Dive! Dive! Dive! Until then, your SL is the biggest problem, unless you are trading for 25-45 pip moves....quick in and out. Other than that, your SL could easily be overrun while you hang on for a longer run, only to have PA reverse and make the longer run, but after the PPMs have taken you out! And basically, I think today is already over with.

As Sonicdeejay says, however, "Let the market decide."

As the week closes, here is my outlook for the trade. There is no SL, so even if next week opens with a manipulation gap-up, my trade remains. If that happens, I will simply take advantage by adding an additional small amount on any swing up. As you can see from the Weekly chart, it might be very tempting to the PPMs (Central Banks in this case) to gap up next week. This would be a "no cost" method of re-attaining the high ground for another round of building short positions by their trading desks, in preparations for a grand fall! So, we will just have to wait and see what next week brings.

This GU short trade illustrates two reasons I trade very light relative to account size. For one thing, I can add additioal small amounts should a trade I believe in be put on the reverse road for awhile by the PPMs. Secondly, I can better survive gap situations that go against my trade, and take advantage of them.

1. Weekly chart shows our now familiar Inverted Cup And Handle formation = indicator down.

2. H4 chart shows PA got pumped today to FR 50% retrace level, where the top candle is a pin bar = indicator down.

3. M15 shows channel and FR study applied to last H/L run down. I'd be expecting PA back up to upper whole number area (113.00 - 113.25) to start the next run down. This might be achieved either by a gap up at the open next week, or by the asian trading session pumping it up there.

Conclusion: Looking for a good SonicR short trade setup.

Let the market decide.

Welcome to SonicR TradeWell. I've known you from THV thread and I respect you and your experiece very much. I'm been seeing your name under "viewing members" lately ... I'm glad you decided to post here at last ... Hope to see more from you in near future ...

I would like to clarify. I do not trade all of those methods together at the same time. That would be near impossible! What I do is pick one based on certain market conditions and go through the charts and look for a trade. For instance, I like using Sonic for times when I don't have time to manage a long trade. I tend to save those for Max Trading. Max trades can go many hours or even through a few market sessions.

The most important thing to remember is when entering a trade using a method, stick to its rules religiously.

TAH after i read your EU preview post, i checked mine and saw the certainty of how my first wave at H1 chart could turn a mediocre one as you mentioned before.
I also realized that H1 FE was not a valid one because PA crossed above the dragon even it bounced from sonicr trend line.
I drew a new H1 chart and saw the possibility of an upper move which will not corrupt H4 down move till 1.3820 - 1.3880 area.
At H1 chart, i clearly see no trade now between 1.3775 - 1.3660 and understand wisdom in the " let the market decide"
The only logic behind the trade i took is the cost of my lunacy and ignorance. As a junior trader i use 0.2 lot for each trade for TP1 and TP2.
I was at the eve of trading bigger but now i am really surprised after six months of live trading i still survive so i am going to continue with mini lots which means longer time and more questions.
FE became a mystery to me now even at H1 direction. I usually take them at the direction of H1 TF when they touch and bounce from M15 dragon but i understand now each FE have a higher possibility to change a valid wave to a mediocre one even its H1 direction.
To decrease false FE i also check the distance of PA from the sonicr trend line and the dragon at H1 chart. I wonder how you manage them. I started to re-ading the thread especially dd's posts.
May i ask you and other experienced sonicers to post some charts if you are still trading FE when the occasion calls for it.

Per attached. TPs are tentative as this is asian session; not usually big runs, but you never know.
Edit: Corrected EP/TP #s and added TP3. Euro session might push up price again; re-entry opportunity, assuming short. If price is pumped too high, could turn into a long setup, but less likely (imho).
