Thanks for the information & links , let they do their own own way & not follow any blind folded specially from any hedge fund manager . still dollar not any weak like in the past, very strong to continue any levels up before the actual retracements perhaps . 78.35 one strong barrier to overcome now before 79.50 & waiting .

As per tdsc , weekly tf now has buy set up perfection & pulling back up before actual buy signal, in a buy rally again now.

In daily tf the fight back bull started only after the buy signal there & only 5th candle bull rally running & now interacting important 78.35 where 5th should not compromise levels , 6th may does though .

in monthly bear rally only 4th running but not any strong only 78.76 & abort.

lets see .

This is because they fear being slipped and stopped out of a trade, essentially losing millions within minutes after trade execution. These 'efficient rational' traders have unlimited patience and an unlimited bank-roll to match. They aren't margin traders.

The market moves based on real-demand, not speculative demand. The counter parties to speculative risk (ie. non-economic demand/supply) are either DMM's or brokers trading against their prop book. Hence no economic contribution. Real investments have economic impact. This is why the masses refer to most traders as paper pushers.. and refer to people like Buffet, Soros, etc; as investors.

Thanks, appreciate the explanation. So the difference is because of the nature of margin trading not because it's speculation as opposed to real purchases?

hey Fontu , I respect your analysis but I have a shocking view that EU heading 1.16 or less and USD has bottomed and USD-CHF going to rally more than 2000 pips , same for USDJPY with a huge rally coming to play there.

I already took long time positions in all three currencies .

I am talking year time at minimum here .

i know every one is saying dump the green back . and this is one psychological factor too . just like if you see every one buying stocks then its time to sell it same goes for currencies .

ofcorse i have my technical reasons for entering those long term trades .

just wanted to double check with someone I respect .

So if you are buying now you would drive down the price by selling into the crowd until you are happy and then liquidating and going long over a predefined interval?

Didn't Soros speculate that GBP wasn't going to adopt EUR and made his fortune? LOL I'm joking.

I think you're on to something because seems like when most people are dumping on something that's when it changes direction against the crowd... The contrarian play has been profitable last 10 years since retail trading has picked up. You have to eat somehow.. might as well slaughter the pigs.

There as an article about this a few days ago... they predicted the last USDx shift and are saying it again since everyone in US equities is long now and short USD... they say it will be a NASDAQ led selloff since it was the one which rallied the most led by AAPL GOOG etc.

you mentioned usdjpy & usdchf , me also see their chart for analyses purpose, they may not even bottomed yet ,but very very near or even bear continue who will prevent ? anyway it were bull time for them , initial test or actual start whatsover . In usdx also bull is not actually yet started full fledged , just starts fights back & when the panic breakdown of the bear may take shape the bull . so there may come more ranging than ever thought as 3334 still intact & all birds still not in a stright line , talking about usdjpy & usdchf .

lets see , at least daily basis we do not have any problem.

for stocks I am also not that bullish , yet every one say another QE means another rally . and some one in cnbc few days ago called DJ to go to 20000!.

but i am skeptical . I do trade stocks , but not in wall street. and i am being very careful .

there are many technical patterns emerged last month in all currencies calling top and bottoms .
and Gold
I was bullish Gold till 1 week ago .
but now my view has changed .

I am bullish on USD and USD only now .
at least for a year or so .

EU is the one doomed to failure .

i was just checking is it only me who is taking those long term positions or any one else joining the camp.

in the bigger picture the low usd raises commodity prices. causing inflation in china.. so they will raise borrowing cost... and it will reduce demand. if not their own currency losses more value as they lost on u.s. currency already held. making the country poorer. and maybe unstable and ready for overthrow.

the u.s. is playing hardball. all the other stuff is because they cant come out and say this about china. they want to weaken china.. so they unpeg currency.
