Hi all,
I have been a longtime fan of FF and all of its members (even the somewhat less than entertaining ones), but I must say that it is such a pleasure to check in with this thread and see the genuine enthusiasm and cooperation that Lawgirl has inspired in so many traders. Good on you LG! And good on all the great contributors.
I have been a big fan of RSI for many years and it is a pleasure to see this indicator made use of in such a simple and effective way. I look forward to making more profitable trades with it, and with the help of the indicator. At this point, I must confess that I am not a fan of the 3-tap method of entry, but using the indicator for entries on the H1 charts with agreement from PA has proven to be a very effective way to use LG's approach. I posted a chart with an example.
From the entry idea that LG uses on the H1, it seems to be quite alright to take entry based on all arrows on the indicator agreeing, and the H1 bar being more than 50% toward its close. Most important - and I really mean MOST important - is to be sure PA really shows the probabilities in your favor. Other tools that I believe are very useful when working with RSI in the manner that LG is, are watching for the two types of divergences (Hidden, and Classic) and to be drawing trendlines based on closes and not swings (as LG is does).
I'd be happy to post a couple of charts with examples of the divergences and trendlines but it seems that we are all big boys and girls here, so I'm assuming that these terms are understood overall that they can simply be referred to, and utilized where appropriate.
