sell 1.3820 with high of day 1.3824 , 150 pip range takes us to 3674 where the buyers showed up and the 15 min gave a test for a quick long

what a day

stopped out on overnight form 1.3790 entry move BUT had chance to get in 3800 on buying cliamx 15,,, to take her into 3670 days range.

The power of days range is never to be under estimated

As expected EURUSD bounced from the lower band of support and is now trading around 1,3740. The tone remains bearish and the expectations are for further depreciation of the single currency. Still, this second part of the US session and perhaps even during the asian session I expect it to witness a positive correction, perhaps even as high as 1,3810.

Anyone know if trichet said anything to boost up EU, just did a little jump as soon as 1700 hit.

Or is that just news spike despite anything being said?

hi, i get the levels, but when do you enter? at the bottom 3716? or at 3733 once its confirmed a break?

Do you usually see a fakey break/re-test?
So I use the bottom of the prior box as the minor, and the top as your target?

I know what you talking about. IMO, you shouldn't expect a lot from an MBA if you are trading as they have nothing in common.

Of course if you want have a chance in a top investment firms an MBA is a MUST (ivy league or oxbridge to be sure) and you need to be very young graduate with high grades AND without much experience especially in trading (most of time top investment banks when recruiting graduates they look for "sheeps" to be mold more than people with lots of prejudgments) etc, etc and probably you wouldn't choose to be a desk trader daytrading (you will get a lot less for double the work + you will need math lots of it).

I agree, that everything you learn in an MBA have nothing to do with real live trading because the chance that you will ever trade like we do in here is almost 0 to none if you get a job in a bank/financial institution.

On the other hand, if you want to be a real trader, a MBA is ABSOLUTELY worthless. No academic class, theory or whatever will replace or give you the skills you need to be a trader (even if you are not profitable) except if you decide to be a system trading when coding and IT + Math can be very handy.

In any case, best of luck in your trading and with your MBA.

Only did about 40 pip move from where it started before red news. Thats not unusual for news reaction, even if it's counter the actual news reaction.

I totally agree. I want to be successful trading, and have been studying it (particularly Cloggie's analysis), but there are other areas I want to be successful in as well, and the MBA will help with that. (Not looking to work in a bank or financial institution)

Looks like we are close to breaking the minor (3764) that Cloggie called out.
