enter, im quite interested. what do you mean buy on the run up and hedge. are u simultaenously buying for example 1 lot and selling 1 lot? with a 10 pip difference etc? what is the advantage tothis?

Im not even attempting to call a top, im just saying what Im seeing right now......If its a top, so be it. It is very evident that the euro has been on the decline(downtrend) since aug 08'.

I was given this technique long time ago. Couldn't do it because of want of time and therefore created my own system that I am quite satisfied with. All your questions are answered here. This is ultimate in trading:

Say I get a buy signal and buy @ 4035 and if we go up towards my sell target at 4325/75 I will hold my long postion even after I have sold for as long as necessary, untill the down move is confirmed. I may get some good profit in both directions if played correctly with wave patterns etc.

Btw, I do not recommend doing this without a solid plan and without experience. you could end up loosing both directions.

EDIT: the main point is that I don't need to set stoploss on my sells

Good approach & may be more professional than ameture & perhaps more complex and time consuming for smal smal move but very risk less I see . may be they are doing it for big tf & sleep most time/days/weeks.

just how the decision making may create huge anxiety in scalpers or even day traders in chart.

Just how confusion occurs , in the chart current eu daily , the big preceeding wave down of 3270 pips , what ? impulse or correction of any preeding wave ? if impulse then this present up abc should be corrective wave & no impulse for 1-5 waves up , likely & should be .still we are not, confused here up or down still , some up , some down , some undecided , some profit & some loss & others stay away due fear etc . and similarly if corrective then just opposite .


anyway taking trade at pull back & close with good stallation. first a, 2nd correction b & 3rd up c limited risky before taking next entry as my way of taking pa , bull or bear whatsover depending upon the d wave .

We're not talking about a few pips here or a few pips there. Had you been long from 1.4 from the 24th, you'd be in a 200+ pips drawdown. I can assure you not EVERYONE makes pips on ff forums especially that week where there were tons of bottom pickers on every 30 pips drop. Don't spin it.

lol a bit thick aren't you? what else do you want me to say? I had already admitted I was wrong about calling the dollar bottoming out & I agree 1.45 is not impossible now. But remember, we're not talking about last week, last week I wasn't even trading the eurusd. We're talking about your post from the 24th where you called it, which was 2 weeks ago.

I don't know for sure if you'll get to tp next week. If you have a look back to the 24th May 2009, price had consolidated at this level between 1.39 - 1.4180 & took over a month before breaking out. A couple of weeks back the spinning top signalled a shift in trend, however since making new high this past week that pattern is now invalidated & looks like a flag is forming, so it could well breakout topside. But this is the weekly I'm talking about & keep in mind at friday close price did close back within the range of 1.39 - 1.4180 so it might take a while.

Anyway, TA aside, I don't think you should even be in this trade because you do not have emergency stop in place. Your p/l ratio currently is horribly wrong because you have a 96 pips profit against 212 pips loss ratio at the close, to make matters worse you said you have 2 long positions. Just a thought.

8-12 NOV Trading updates


EUR/USD broke out of the range n tops at 1.4282 last week due to the QE2 report but close back inside the range on friday indicating consolidation. the bearish consolidation phase should remains intact provided 1.4200-50 area holds. on the downside,a clear break n consistently movement of price below 1.4000-3980 should keep the bearish correction intact testing 1.3850-00 area.But the longer time bullish mode remains intact provided that 1.3750-00 holds targeting 1.4500-70 area b4 the year runs out.
Now the best strategy to play now is to sell around 1.4140-80 area with a 30-45 pips SL above the swing high n take profit within 1.3850-00 area depend on the market volatility.
Trade safe n remember dat a sound money management is d only holy grail.
