also, spreads and execution on EURUSD on tonights NFP were good. fast fill on the open and close, both Manuel trades. the spread tightened up quite quickly after the release, are the new servers running now?

Hi Chris from GoMarkets, I was thinking Of buying an iphone, is it possible to run my indicators and EA on it, I guess what I am really asking is it just the same as when I trade from my laptop.

While I am asking questions here is another, too lazy to ring, plus its the weekend.

I know that you give access to a free demo account for one month, but can live traders also still have a demo account with no time limit, just asked because I can't connect to my old demo account now.

While I'm not Chris, I am going to answer this question because not only do I suspect that Chris is sitting around the pool and the barbie this weekend, I do happen to know the answer to it. So please forgive the butt-in.

The holder of a live account certainly can have a demo account with no time limit. However, there is a caveat - you have to ask for it.

Much to my chagrin, I was not told that small detail when I asked this same question. So I opened a live account along with a demo. When the demo account was at the 30 day date containing all of my useful trade data, it suddenly disappeared. When I asked if I could get it back, I was told its demise was automatic and unrecoverable.

Arrrggghhh!

If only I had been told that the demo account can be put on a do-not-destroy setting had I only specified that. Instead, I heard the reassuring words of, "If you get a live account, you can also have a demo account that will not expire". I believe the operative word here is "can".

So, when you set this all up, write to your account representative and specify that the demo account (by account number) be put in a category that will not be automatically terminated. Keep his reassuring reply, because that will help ensure that the demo account will not be put on death row automatically.

Hi Abinadi, thanks for the answer about the Demo. I am now on a live account and it looks lke my demo account is gone. So I guess I will have to ring them and get a demo account that doesn't expire.

So all I need is an answer to the iphone question.

Hi Neil, I'm a Go client and I trade through my iphone - through a couple of remote desktop apps (Teamviewr is free, and LogMeIn is not. I have 2 for backup purposes). To be honest I am not sure what GoMarket's upcoming app is going to be like but I can pretty much bet it will not be as good being able to remotely access your desktop all at once. I am a big fan after doing this for the last 6 months. Even drawing fibs and lines etc is no issue once you get used to the app.

Yes, as Abinadi has pointed out, you need to give us the demo account number so we can make it non-expiring. The reason for that is that we usually do not know people's demo account numbers because a lot of people do not put real names on demos!

As for the iPhone app, unfortunately it is not possible to load your own indicators or EAs on to the platform. If you want to do that, the suggestion of running it like a remote desktop would probably be something to look at, but of course you have to make sure you get a good connection for that kind of thing.

Tried it on an ipad, crashes at the splash screen every time, strangely the Forex On The go app by the same developer runs fine.

Just a suggestion for the new website, can you put a link somewhere to download metatrader, live update hasn't worked on 2 computers so I want to download the executable but every download link seems to take me the account signup page.

Thanks for your post, the developers are aware of the Ipad and Itouch issue and are arranging an update but seems to be working very well on Iphones.

I will pass on your thoughts regarding the website, its a blank canvas so all suggestions will be looked at.

Well that was a fast reply, I emailed GoMarkets 30 min ago, I now have a new non expiring demo account, they couldn't revive my old one but they had no problems giving me a new one. They even gave me $10 000, wish it was real.

I also think you should have an icon that account holders can access to update/reinstall MT4, we could simply enter our account number to login and re install a new MT4

likely dumb question : has anything happened over the last few months that would cause my laptop to not connect to any go servers? my main pc is currently receiving the feed fine, but my laptop is dead in the water. haven't run the mt4 program on the laptop for a few months, hence the question.

then again, tried copying the pc go folder and run that on the laptop and that isn't working either. will take any suggestions, tips, money (oh yeah) offered.
nevermind. crazy live support is actually online. will take the advise and see if avg is the culprit.

someone must have late nights at go! *and yet, is still extremely pleasant*
