JPY has a major rate announcement coming up. Monetary policy too.

Hi ya..

Just for my curiosity was this actually a BPC at the solid red arrow, as it was bouncing off the close RN for confluence or was it actually the dotted arrow above and should have actually been picked up on the shorter TF.....or am I completely wrong?

As far as I know it was a standard Nightmoves setup where we look to daily for ma's to be streaming nicely with PA moving into them ---drop down to 4hr draw the ctl and wait for the BPC. I think Custos doesnt like anything less than the 4hr so a lower TF entry wouldn't be recommended. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

these 2 pairs look like caught in all these trend lines like between a rock and hard place.

the pairs I am mostly intereste din are still the big ones: E/U, G/U and A/U. But they are still running non stop. I wonder when retracement starts. can take few days and it can run far enough. I read today in local news paper how smart was move to announce only 600 billions purchase instead of 1 trillion. As if it matters. Feds are in debt up to their eyes and there is no fooling the market.
I worry only about it coming back before getting too high. My 1000 pips are somewhere there !!!

patience is key. Once you are in a couple of long-term trades sitting on your hands gets easier.

Looks like GBP/JPY showed DanUk set up. was break out of inside bar from area of confluence round number 131.50, resistance and Fib 61.8

Eur/Aud lookss like showing NightMoves set up on 4H. The pair is in downtrend on weekly and was in consolidation on daily. looks like break out of consolidation.

Yes, I see no sense to hurry. Most of the time price does come back. It is not safe to guess what market going to do and go with original break out. most of break outs are fakes.

I went short Eur/Aud but extremely small size. total risk is 0.25%. shorted with limit order at 139.63. stop loss 80 pips and first take profit same. the rest is far. let's see how this thing plays out. I am under water right now.
reason for entry:
the pair is in down trend on weekly. range was broken and when price tried to get back into the range daily candle closed as shooting star down.
SMAs are in order on 4H and weekly. It is the break of retracement trend line, pull back and continuation on 4H. Not grade A set up, but risk is small, so. let's try it.

I have been thinking of how positions are being built. I remember Jesse Livermore wrote that he always entered with only part of his total intended position. if things went as he envisioned , he added more and then more and in such a way built total position. I guess it goes same way here. Once we are safe and in profit, the price moves along the trend and we have another break out of important level and continuation signal, we enter again. now, what is interesting is Money Management in this case. If for example original tarde was 2% risk. Trader closed 1% as profit another 50% posiiton runs. What would be a good risk size for next posiiton. Probably to keep things safe risk should be between 1-2% again. may be just 1% to gamble with earned money..and such position can be build along the trend consisting of few smaller position which add up and compound. It is like that Multipede guy's approach but with DanUk and Nightmoves entries it is safer and higher probaility of success.

You need to check weekly and daily to see why.

On weekly the pair is in downtrend. On daily it has been in range. It broke out of range few days ago. then 2 days ago price tried to get back into the range and this attempt was rejected with shooting start forming on daily.
Now, there is SMAs in order on 4H , retracement line break out, then pull back and price went for continuation. It is NightMoves entry but obviosly not A grade. I entered it only on my smaller testing account, not the main one where I take only the best looking trade

the problem with this entry is that it did not show previous bounces from 30-50SMAs area, it is too fresh so I think. but risk is small and there is some room to run. let's see.
