Ah i forgot.. i am looking on EJ ... there is a very nice looking inverse H&S on the hourly and 4H chart... IF triggered... that will be a beauty!

Im trying a short on eu. Nice pin on 4h, in on retrace to 4090 ppa line and 50fib at 15min.

Not something i normally do but something im trying out, just added another short and the first is at breakeven. If it comes further down 4020-4030 is where im looking to close out, 50 fib of upmove and support.

Hmm.. Got stopped out at 3+ and -10, turning a winner like that into a loss is something I would usually never let happen. Though im exploring how to hold for bigger gains by setting tp of the htf. I normally only go for about 1:1 and for quick scalps, and this is one of the first times I add to an open position. Im thinking that when I enter a trade looking to hold it for a longer time maybe I should scale in and add along as it develops, should make it easier when I can tp along as we go. Something that I tryed to do now but got messed up.

Its kind of a fight between two mindsets, where my scalper wants to put to breakeven as fast as possible and close it out for quick profits, while my other side wants to give it room to breath and go for bigger gains. The seniors here were great at knowing when to go for the quick buck or when to hold it.

If anyone have some thoughts on this im open ears

Short on EU @ 4108 worked rather good... as even the short on GU (which i took a bit higher @ 6053) and that gave me ironically more than the short on EU. Done for the day.

Yea sure its sad that the seniors dont post here anymore, but you still got over 2k post with a wealth of tremendous information. Should be enough for everyone to be kept occupied

Here's a trade I took and am currently holding. One of my favorite type of trades.. I'll call it the PippiNole special. Half way up the 1 hour pin. Notice planning and taking the trade from the higher time frames, and waiting for an entry from the lower time frames.

If I could trade all day I'd be posting like a mad man in here and getting this thread fired up again. I venture into many threads, and trade many different styles based on how much time to trade I have. Once you learn how the market works, you can scalp, swing trade, long term trade whatever - it all works the same. Although most of the others who "got" this system are no longer around, I still feel like this is my home.

I've been an avid follower of Ken's thread and I've been reading this thread from the beginning page by page. Still got a ways to go, only in the 950s right now, so I didn't even realize people were still posting on the thread.

I was right there with you on the GU trade yesterday, although I did exit and reenter at one point (retest of the 62). It's funny that you mention the HTFs because that's the realization that I have come to very recently. Unless you really know where you're at on the Daily, 4H, and 1H you're not going to take solid 15M trades. It seems that the 15M is really only there for entry timing and position management (aside from the gump trades/scalps, but even for these, you have to look at the HTFs).

A few days I dropped all the "touch trades" and "pure 15M" trades and now I've been doing a lot better. I do still use the MAs on the 15M, and even the 15M entries such as the 35/50 reverse, but only to time an entry or add to a position. The actual entry has been coming from the HTF candles/MAs/pivots/fibs/etc. Also I've been watching a lot of pairs -- I find it easier this way, because if I can't understand what the HTF price action is doing on a particular pair, I just ignore it for the day and move on to the next pair.

Anyway.. just some rambling. Good to see some activity on the thread.

Here is precisely the reason why so many don't post here anymore. A man comes on for the first time in a while to generously share some info, and he gets immediately bombarded with a question about a stoploss. Almost 34,000 posts of goldmine info, 2 incredibly detailed PDF's and you need someone to tell you how they personally use a stoploss?

Pretty easy stuff. Above the wick of a candle, or 15-20 past an S&R zone on a touch should do it.

Hi Captain,

Personally I always use 25 pips above or below the wicks as advised by EO ,but when reading through the thread diff people have diff takes on it. I follow EO and im pretty happy with im doing , jus wanted to know other seniors opinion as well to increase the effieciency of my money mangement.Since my post has bothered u..i wil delete it. By the way do continue your posts on this thread ,as they are great and I can learn from them..cheers.
