it's only a "verbal" intervention folks... (intervene without cost any money, just need some nice word )

many of trader are afraid I guess, so they all lose their sell position.

quite effective though! maybe Japan PM could intervene verbally once everyday

jump from 80.25 to 81.46 in a single minute... awesome!

The timing was 8:00 ET. It is really hard for me to accept that this event was unplanned. This move may be indicating the longer term trend and the war is on!

at least for now, we know something for sure, that Noda does not watch the market closely....cause if he did, he could have used the momentum to push UJ further more.... hahahahahahahaha...
sell at 80.67 with tight stop loss.. going on to 80.00...
i still believe 79 is imminent, and we will see reversal...

0102 GMT [Dow Jones] USD/JPY spike of more than one yen to 81.55 came amid talk of buying by global macro funds, says trader at European brokerage. Casting further doubt on speculation that move may have been driven by Japanese government intervention, other dealers cite rumors that sharp move may have been caused by technical error with electronic trading system. Pair quickly fell back, last at 80.59.

Just Checked Commitment of traders, JPY contracts are decreasing since the previous months from 50K to 41K, I am getting bearish uj

Commercials are buying jpy contracts to hedge the negative equity against their products.

I believe UJ is going to rally.

It could be one of their ways to place a SHORT at a higher price and taking out weak-account shorts as well.
