...I'm showing a +20 gap up but I don't think it was there before.

If you have entered any of these trades, you may want to switch to M15 or M5 chart to manage/monitor the trade.

I was looking at it purely as a gap trade short. I haven't checked it for a 3 tap. May be a bit early for 3 tap...

Hello everyone,

First before I forget, for those of you who don't already know there is another thread talking about weekend gaps here;

As most of you are noticing, this strategy does not work the same from broker to broker. I ran the backtests on a GAIN account. As I write this there are fantastic gaps in three of the four pairs I look at. The EURJPY has nearly closed the gap. I am looking at FXOpen for these gaps. Over the course of the week I'll try to compile some data from broker to broker as to which is best for this strategy. I'll also provide data on other pairs.

And for those of you shopping for an offshore broker that still accepts US clients, here is a thread on babypips that has been of considerable help to me.

Is anyone using Alpari US? My charts seem to be frozen.

And Lawgirl, just a simple thank you for an honest, straight-forward thread. No ego, no smoke and mirrors, just the facts. Very rare on FF. I've been watching for some time, and hope to contribute.

hmm EU, EJ, AU, etc going up strongly. Not looking good for the gap trades this week...

You might try a left click on your connection status icon at the lower right of your chart and rescan servers...or...reboot the MT program.

EJ has already retraced fat side of 50% of the gap...course that's one I didn't get a ticket for.

LG, how do you switch between demo and live account so quickly? Is it a separate platform or do you just login using File > Login?

Hi LG,
Stopped by while you were away and asked a question...It was answered and explained in detail and very well I might add by Ph22 and Rovver and I thank them for that.
Your thread is a very good read and your system is very well explained.
Kudo's to you,Scrutch, et al.....If you wouldn't mind I would like to subscribe and try out your system and of course the Gap trading ( had never heard of this before I read it here).
If all is OK I will set up my charts and be ready for the start of the week....

Separate computers and screens. I don't even bother to set up the trade on my live computer most of the time.
