Welcome DH...the RSI is a regular indicator. Go to "Navigator" --> "Indicators" --> "Relative Strength Indicator (RSI)" double click and change the level to 3. I don't know anything about the numbers. Just use the default.

I can't give a percentage of winning trades. I can only tell you that I consistently meet my weekly goal.

Can you please tell me where you get that mutiple currency trend indicator thats in the lower right hand corner of your charts? Thank You, Couldnt get lawgirl's to download properly.

My H1 chart is different to yours and I see no breakout trade (trade your chart)... however I flick to the 30min and see a channel from the last 14 or so hours. I've got a short limit order at 0.9910 with a very tight stop to see how it plays out... 1 pip to hit the order.. if it doesnt I'm not fussed.

You have saddened me, fry, because you sound defeated, and that always makes me sad to see in a person. Yes, there is so much to learn from trading anything, I think, and forex in particular. If you read my first post you will know that I learned the hard, and expensive way. I am still learning the hard and sometimes expensive way (although not as expensively as it once was.) I dare say that there is noone on FF who hasn't learned in the very same way...and if they say they didn't...I don't believe them.

I do have a good job..I have a great job and it brings in money. But it is a job that is extremely adversarial, has constant conflict and requires never ending problem solving. I deal with people who are angry, upset, scared and hopeless...people whose lives are a mess.

This may sound very strange, but to me charts are peaceful and are beautiful in their way. Charts don't cry and curse and blame and shout...they are just there for one to make of them what one will. I like that charts can do what "they are told" sometimes and at other times they do as they please. They surprise and they bore. They tease, as GBPUSD has done all day today, and they let you down, but they don't cry and curse and shout. So, I find comfort in them. I find that I also like most of the people who like charts...and trading.

As for making money trading. I have always believed in having multiple streams of income, if possible. Have you read the book Rich Dad, Poor Dad? I highly recommend it..in fact I made my children read it. Robert K talks about this..always have something else going on...keep your day job and do something else that brings in income and hopefully that you enjoy. That's forex for me.

If you decide you want to get back into forex, I, and I am sure everyone on this thread, will do all we can to help you.

Thankyou LG for your interesting and helpful thread. I have been making some good pips in the last few weeks since I started using this system. Today it kept me out of a trade I once would have taken as all TF's weren't the same. When they are all the same I will look for a way to enter it.
I appreciate all the hard work you have gone to and for sharing your setups and charts. They are a great learning tool and I started reading from the first post.

That is my mothers favourite book, she has tried to get me to read it but it's still sitting on my desk.. I really should get around to doing it!

wow, you have some skill, you read me like a book...

I can see why you see the charts that way, considering your job is very chaotic itself.

I have heard of that book but never read it, maybe I will get it. Since I was about 16 I have always been doing 'something else' other than what normal people do. I have so many weird and crazy ideas, that I have had to cut out so much and try to focus on just a few because I have not been getting anywhere with any of it. I think by nature most people on this website are those type of people that always have something else going on. Something about magnatism, or laws of attraction, which I have heard of.

Anyway im rambling on here. Thank you for your support. and im amazed at your dedication to the people here on this thread considering your job and trading at the same time, so thanks for your time.

Nice attitude Fry, keep at it with trading. LG makes so much sense, keep it simple and always trade with the trend on higher timeframes.

perfect 3 taps , on TL , and i am out with + 40 pips !
btw i was practicing on lower TF , like 15 , 30 min , and 3 taps works like charm ! Lg u are a genius !

Hello Lawgirl,

First,thanks for sharing this method and i see most of them get success with this method.I read this thread over the weekend and i am trying only H1 4 candle breakout.

In demo, today i placed trade on H1 4 candle breakout,but the trade went against me.Attached is chart,pls guide how to avoid such situation.

RSI on H4,W1,H1,M15 was down,but everything got changed suddenly.

I had several set-ups, but none triggered. Most in fact went in the opposite direction. Had I been awake I would have seen the directional change and gotten into a couple of them for lots of pips.
