Simple H1 GBPUSD EA

My TDFX live i started a week ago took the short also, hope it make a turn back down.

So i know the 140 stop loss is the biggest problem, but that is what keeps a lot of winners turning into losers.
Going back to 1-1-09 with a 60 stop loss on back test i get half the amount of profit in total for the past year with 83 losses instead of 23 withlosses with 140 sl. I am using Tadawul fx (TDFX) aand back testing isn't the same as forward, exspecially with your own $$$$$
I know Geoff and others have worked on reducing the stop loss but 140 seems to be the optimum for now, at least for 2010 with no losses on back test.
But things will change and we will lose, so how do we know when we need to change the ea for the present time and how do you change it.
I am no ea wizard like piptician, geoff, sashasan, jiva and others who are so smart. I still can't even open a zip file on my computer right now and can't figure out what is wrong, I need help with that if anyone can help me. Even the spell checker here i can't get to work and don't know what I'm doing wrong, I need help with that also.
Very frustrating this computer stuff sometimes.
So what do you all think what have you tried that seems to work on stop loss and changing other setting. ?
Hope we all keep this ea going and figure out what to do next.
Hope this trade turns south soon so we can win like the ea is suppose to do, to make life easy.

TDFX opened at same price and is heading south now like it is suppose to do.
Going to bed now and when i wake will see how much money i made.

Yeap, sell and trade goes 100 pips in wrong direction.

I have a feeling that situation has been changed.

We are in the middle of the Currency war, any word from official or

anyone could spook markets, send it up or down.

Don't think Fractals apply for that.

Not sure if this question has been addressed or not.

If EA has already open positions, will it still look for a trade the next day?

IF so, can / will it be same direction or a hedge?

i don't think it does anything till current play is done or if you change the macig number
but some one else might want to confirm this

Confirmed , but don't change the magic number for the active EA otherwise stops won't trail and the 8 hour parachute won't open ...

There should be in the code ;
itotalOrders!=0 and
trade= false

which means as long as is existing previous triggered order, EA isn't allowed to trigger any new order.

or I'm wrong .
So far never triggered in wrong way.

Today I'm going to do something I should have done ages ago, something Geoff suggested way back when...
I'm going to optimized the settings for FXDD.
Better late than never...

Well , I still in too. It is hard to believe that we can have 1.5669 which is my emergency exit level, but who knows? "Maybe tomorrow".

I just switched to FXDD after GoMarkets kicked this US user to the curb because of my idiotic politicians.

Guys if you can post a set-file for them if it is different from default I would appreciate it mightily.

Well that was a short lived excursion with this EA! Everyone seemed to speak so highly of it. Using 10,140 MA's seemed to show not a single loss in 12months and then the 1st Live trade a loss. the 2nd Live trade a loss....

call me cynical but even taking into account murphys law of me starting with a loss I don't believe in getting 2 when theoretically not been one in 12 months. I know backtests are not overly accurate but I'd say this one is hugely INaccurate.

Game over for me. Its wiped out all profit on all other trading for the month.

Same "good" ol short here too with alpari-uk.

I am using 17a with 2 orders, and stop of 150 instead of 140, I have noticed that, while the first trade went to SL , the other one was still open (ok, maybe not exactly same open price, so not same SL) but then it started moving the SL up and down as the prices changes... it simply was following the price at constant distance. So, noticing it, I closed the second trade manually, once it was over the SL of the first order. Anyone experiencing the same ?

I haven't looked into the code yet but I will do it.
so -150 -170 here .... not funny but happens....
