My view for this week is that the USD may be going up giving a swift kick in the groin of Euro bulls like me. Thankfully, I'm wearing a cup and I'm holding on to my f@#king hat.

Not that it will hold in the long haul.

There may be a countless stream of people coming in here to post "See Jay, the USD is going up, I told you so!", not paying attention or being aware that my long is based on a weekly chart and not on the M5 to H1 frame that the majority of people here trade.

..............and yes, taking more pips if the market gives them, but NOT sitting in front of my screens all my life. Basically trading the London session, which is a bit hard for where I live, but the wife snores, so not missing THAT much. Why risk trading during low volume when the easy trades can be made during high volume??!!

Just take the shot from live quotes , approaching 1.4000 fast . just for fun till act next morning .

Hello buddies,
I only trade intraday but I wondered if anyone else especially malcolm though that friday 15/10 the big shoot up too 1.4160.and then within minutes lost about 80-100 pips rested then within hours lost around a further 100 pips.

It seemed to me to be text book vsa in a big way,since that move I have a strong bias south.
If there is going to be a serious move south after the range play, testing of the 1.4100 area would be a strong signal too confirm this.
the upside has been contained by 1.4000 mostly but bounces and pins at or above 1.4100,could lead to a strong move south.
The beauty about southward moves is that they are fast and strong.
Am ready for the roller coaster this week but if we get up near the highs i will be trying to build a short position and attempt to ride it down to to 1.3333 the previous leg ups daily high and around 50% fib of the overall up move including the 2 up legs and the one down leg.

Anyhow happy pipping short term trading till the highs.
making green pips large and red pips small this is my goal.

oanda shows 1.3993 was hit a couple of minutes ago.
support for this week should be at 1.3873, and resistance at 1.3997...
