somebody put a good article here last night.
i don't know if it was the Fool or Mfoste. about Put your range hat's on.

Looking on daily we are exactly where we started also last week.

I'm not saying we are staying here for weeks. I think we go higher. But if you trade using Ma's is not going to work.

Same thing I was trying to say about HILO or qqe.
We could stay here another hour or another week.

So "put your range hat on"

Daily pivot close above it on 15m bar but no close yet on 30min bar. See where it close in the next few...

Even group of big players can't break it when volatility is low and M1 200MA under the medium support zone

it will eventually break, as i don't see that much reaction from it.
the thing is, at both ends of this movement, i see high volume bars. both could just be mark ups/downs followed by reversal. the more i look at, the more doubt's are created. but for ranges, this volume reading is priceless, though i'm not too good at it. today we had the highest volume at the low on any tf <D1.

I agree, that calling anyone is rather shallow considering at any point you can be right and wrong in this game.

I based my long bias at 1.3900 to market talk of swiss buy order at 1.3900,When it was backed up by strong price bounce at that level I started to scale in.

My earlier bias was short by the russian sellers order and again price action for confirmation.
making green pips large and red pips small this is my goal.

Short with tight stop on top...tried to make new daily high without success..closed below last H1 hourly high close swing.

that's the curse of range trading, it's not as easy as it looks like afterwards. in this state, it's not a bad idea to keep a seemingly wrong trade open, because chance of getting it greenish is high enough.

Its helped my trading no end mr hatch but I too am still getting the hang of it.

I do see a lot of pressure now,were before i just saw small candle or doji and previously thought nothing was happening.

Now i see these high volume small candles as an indication of something too come.
Quite often very small candles followed by large candle .
I now wait till the candle starts to form up/down afterwards before pull trigger

Sorry, i am not scalper. That's why i didn't buy from 3905 for 40-50 pips. My target 100+ pips per trade.
This year had only one scalp at 1.1997 area for 10-15 pips with huge lot.

Hello buddy i can tell how you are feeling frustrated.

I feel like you on many occassions.
Try not revenge trade step away for a while. i notice myself few negative trades snowball if i dont try reset my mind.
And start to feel its never gonna go right .
But tomorrow sometimes turns out really well.

Hi all,
It's just a random question but anybody know where forexlive (and no doubt others) get all the info from about where buy/sell stops are said to be? Taking a few words quotes from one of the last comments in FL re G20:

"........ Earlier reports had had buy orders clustered down at 1.3850/70 and they provided solid support and back up we went.
Now stops seen through 1.3840 on downside and trailing stops through 1.3940 on topside."

Does Big Bro keep an eye on where all our positions are, hmm, thinking??
