the vsa stuff? i have a book about that, but basically it's like this: if you have a spike up/down with high volume, it's more often then not a fake move (or shakeout as malc calls it). if it then moves in the opposite direction on lower volume, smart money isn't interested in higher/lower prices. that's as much as i use it for. the rest is pretty complicated.

works much better on higher tf. if you look at excessive highs/lows, there's always a red bar in the end. i'm just careful when i see them.

it sorta looks like dips are being bought.....I wanna wait till this hour closes to decide whether or not to close my short. Who knows what frank and london will do given chinese gdp and geitner saying usd doesnt need to move lower against euro.

I'll have to check. Don't get me wrong....you can add different sounds....but you can't loop them for a continuous play.....and they can't be too long or they use too many resources....

Normally MT4 indicator will play a WAV file (use some Windows default file) use ALERT function . You can choose whichever file to play. So the option is that you use a file that is long enough (1 hour ) for you to wake up. Still did not figure out how to turn it off (may need a script or simple turn off the speaker for awhile).

I don't care what the sound it but is it possible to make an indicator that will beep every tick that the price is between 1.**45 and 1.**55.

... those others don't wake me.. its good to have different sounds because im waiting for a move sometimes. the ma we talked about is when the candle touches or gets within a certain amount of pips away or % away.. in direction of the ma

Loop it to a conditional:

extern bool Alarm = True;

if(Alarm == True)
{
if Condition1 = 1 Then PlaySound("alert.wav");
}

This way the user can diable the alarm from the settings. If you include something such as:

if(Alarm == False)
{
Condition1 = 0
}

This resets your variable for sounding the alarm, and the user can change the Alarm function back to True to await the next setup.

You can do it by call ALERT function each minutes (not every pip as it will consume all the resources) while a condition is still valid. Don't know anyway to show a stop button on screen so you can stop it. However you can turn a variable on or off through it properties (right click on indi).
