I agree the dollar is in deep trouble as is the american economy, but this is about relative value, one currency and one economy versus the other, and at the moment, Europe sucks too. So the game becomes reading the change of sentiment from one camp to another, and who sucks less; last month all favored the euro, now the tide is changing for the time being. For how long, who knows.
too, but, the US FED have a privilege to devaluate USD as it has Reserve
currency status.. In other words, what you seen here is plain and simple
US FED actions, trying to manipulate US currency to jump start
Export/corporate profits and devaluate US Debt at the expense of
World-wide US Debt holders.. Fair enough? Yes, fundamentals suck

For entries lorna i moved too 233 tick chart with the volume its similar to 5 minute for entries but its 233 trades and the bigger the candle represents bigger traders.
I also have a swing indicator that marks the support and resistances to save me doing it.
As for analysis look at weekly draw trendline over multiple candles .Note the direction.
Then pull up daily do the same , now you have a bias...
You've given me some really helpful advice to get my teeth into. First I'll have to investigate to see what a tick chart is, oops
- quick call to IG to ask if they use them, just found out their charts don't have a feature whereby you can add notes or draw things on them I wanted to rig a few bits and, even asking them ages ago, seems the charts only print out in small size. Waste of space!! So far I only use ma lines and read the candle flow for the trend. Any calculations I need are done manually, some random 2-day course I did ages ago covered quite a bit about reading the charts and making calculations and I do like to keep my screen fairly uncluttered. Some of the charts posted here look amazing, very colourful, but cluttered with lines and I haven't a clue where they are going 
but that's okay.My little unattended trade should be rolling over about now and has netted me about 50 pips (yes, it was over 60 but I remain hands off - tho watching). I'm pretty chuffed with that. I was up all last night, going to bed for couple of hours around 08.30 and with all that effort netted only about 70 pips (plus a loss of 35 which I wouldn't have lost had I known the rotten trend was going to turn on me and very nearly lose me another 80). No, this method, if I can do it again, is much better and I might even get some other stuff done at the same time.
