1.3825-1.3830 is holding quiet strongly. Hope to see it getting breaked before today's close so we could move up to 1.3884 at least and then if progressed to the upside, 1.3919, 1.3930, 1.3975 and then to 1.40000 if it continued otherwise at least 1.3884 if this 1.3830 got broken.

Well said. Besides, prolongation of life expectancy has been mainly reached by curing diseases once mortal and thus mainly prolonging life of very old people in the first place. Due to much bigger stress and required output during work life the people nowadays are generally not in better "working" condition than before.

I didn't do too much research into them, I did have an EA which auto-drew the set ups. Very high probability set up. I'm just looking for 1.35-1.36 on this move since I got in a bit early.

A lot of people enjoy their work and would rather carry on working than retire.
Those that want to retire need to make their own savings provisions, rather than relying on the state.

The economy in the UK, for example, is far less manually intensive than it was 50 years ago, so most people are physically and mentally fit enough to carry on working in their jobs until they are 70.

Personally, I would rather have a lower taxation environment, with individuals less reliant on the state to care for them. The welfare system should, in my opinion, be means tested and paid out for those who really need the assistance.

Frankly I've always thought it a shocking disgrace that the government (whoever is in) has squandered taxes taken from the earnings of hard working people and passed it on to pay whatever bills were due at the time, such as pensions, without ever considering the sense of investing that money so that it would grow and be available to pay the pensions of future generations, not simply those of the current day (now yesterday). Same goes for their attitudes towards insuring public buildings, whether it be a school or the queen's council house, if it burns down there is no insurance to cover the cost of repairs so they have to dig into that days tax piggy bank again. For anybody else, for you for me for private sector businesses, if we don't arrange our pensions or insurances with due care and thought does the government bail us out from that tax piggy bank - not b$@@^y likely.

I know there is no point to that rant as they are never likely to listen or consider such an idea - ever ....

Of course it works, when the savings are in a diversified portfolio: bonds, cash, property (where most retirees have the majority of their wealth accumulated) and shares.... This mix has easily outstripped inflation over the past 30 years in the UK.
