I am seeing that it is important when the 4h candles begin & end. On the FXDD MT4 that I downloaded on Saturday after finding this thread, for some reason the broker time is GMT +3 .. the 4 h candles have different patterns than one that is synched to GMT. I just opened my Forex.com LTD version of MT4 and the broker time is GMT .. so the candles on the swissy show up like on LG's chart ... on the chart I was watching, there was no 3 tap.

So just something to consider ... I am looking for an MT4 that will sync with London time (not GMT) as I think that would be even better. Although in a few weeks they will be the same again until DST starts again.

BTW I opened an acct with FXDD yesterday. Will call them today & also enquire why their broker time is so .. far off.

It seem to me that the USD pairs are gaining strength. Not sure why where building permits shows a decline??.

I played it a bit different...I was watching the weekly trend like 4xStar and when the 3 tap happened I was not totaly convinced that this was a valid 3 tap trade...so I waited for the BO.
All in all a very nice trade, both targets locked and a small position left, that's tagging along to see where the ride will go from here.

That was one of a few trades I took. Got out at 40 pips profit.

The AJ produced a 3 tap entry (oki, one bar is not a dead on tap) a few hours ago and a H14 BO trade just after that. Entry was with the H14...but I added to the position when the BO of the previous month was made. This pair has been in a trading range for over 30 days. If it's a valid BO it should be a sweet ride.

I was looking at this pair also. Pink line = H4 3 tap; Orange line = H1 4 candle BO. Nice trade.

Yes, I've noticed for years that a really good trade will have multiple set-ups that would get you in and on the right side of the market.

Course it's not that difficult to enter a market, it's the exit that's crucial.

Hi Lawgirl

Thanks for the system. I read the first post and jumped right in !! Such a simple method. Anyway i made 56 pips on my first trade. I've attached a chart, maybe you could tell me if I've got the right idea. I think Iclosed the trade too early as I was trailing the stop. I'll need to get used to the higher timeframe. I'm currently trading using the Choros method (Dance) , but this uses smaller timeframes.
Thanks again and I'll be reading the thread intently from start to finish.
