Multiple reasons why this was such a lovely setup. One of the best I've seen in a long time with a flag break out destined to fail. Typical topping pattern.

That could be very well go that way.

I came up with the exact same analysis Thursday... good job - we might see a shake out of some of the weak shorts to 1.4025.

1 hour chart: This is only the 2nd time since Sept 10, price closed below the ema100 (blue). Very unusual. Watching the ema200 (red) and more confluence at 3915/25. A close below would indicate some further fun.

4Hour chart:

Downsloping rsi channel still not broken even though we've now had higher prices. Strong sign of weakness building up.

Daily chart:

Funny thing is that the Daily rsi hasn't been this high, (above 75), since december 2008. Normally we get a decent drop or pullback when it hits the 70+ mark.

Hi and good evening all togethere,

A few days ago, some traders asked me to provide EW-counts of other currencies.

My day job has me back since last Wednesday and I have a huge workload.

But since some people believe, that the one and only stable "currency" is GOLD, I started a new Elliott Wave GOLD blog.

I have published today one mid term view (it is the bearish case), tomorrow follows the alternate count with a quiet bullish view.

I haven't yet decided, which I might take for my main count.

In the section "Long term view" I put a link to Lara from www.elliottwaveforex.com .

She has provided a remarkably bullish counts which seems to have merits.

For all of you interested in USDX counts, that is THE place to be. But she offers her counts only on irregular basis. But when you feel the need, you can subscribe to her service. But I do not know the conditions.

In this "Long Term View" section I will post over the next days the bearish alternative. You can get a good sense, when you take the look at the published mid term count.

Daily counts will follow.

Both of my blogs (EURUSD and GOLD) can be accessed through my signature.
