just something here.
i don't take contrarian trades but i like to keep that in mind.

Nothing last forever that means trends too.
So over the time I like to look on forums sentiment.
Since something like 25-30% of forex trades are E/U most of the traders/investors/hedge look to same TA everybody knows it's a bull run.

So a lot of time we see people at tops or bottoms. people coming in who don't really post a lot. saying.

"don't fight the trend"
"trend is your friend"
and so on.

or
"what happen to all shorts"

The more we go into one direction the louder they get.

Is not the fact that people are not right is the fact that media hype brainwashes traders mind.

Do you guys realize that a JUST a few months ago everybody was saying EUR/USD to parity, EZ is done, Greece is bankrupt. Germany is going out of EUR. Same thing will happen here. USD is trash, toilet paper, don't accept dollar trades, crude oil to be traded in EUR, EUR to be main reserve currency. Amero is coming.

So just keep that in mind.

A trend is a friend until it's not.

Great point. I was trained to look at cot extremes and play the opposite, as cot extremes either mean smart money accumulation or distribution, and a reversal could be imminent.

Couple of thoughts re. sentiment, this steep bull climb is now over a month old, it ain't gonna turn on sixpence (dime). Also largest 4 hour tick volume spike since at least early Aug (I don't have older data) came in around last Friday's NFP release.

a few months ago I was saying buy euro long term ..and i did ,a alittle early at 1.2400 but am reaping the rewards on that now.

Now we have this bull run and it seems that all dips are still being bought for now on the hope of QE@ of 1 trillion being annouced. EU may well maintain its up trend till Nov 3rd fomc meeeting . If there is no qe2 forth coming we can expect a healthy retrace

Target for bull run could be as high as 1.4460 , 1.4000 is major resistance level but if for some reaosn we get a rapid mark up and daily close thru that level then we can expect to see 1,4200 to 1.4460 ish

Hi Malcolm. I was thinking of you when I wrote this. another good point about people forgetting how sentiment can change really fast.

What about VSA, how healthy is the uptrend here near 1.39 -1.4 without any retrace.

ECB's Weber Says China Manipulated Its Currency


NEW YORK (Dow Jones)--A key European Central Bank policy maker said Tuesday that China manipulated its currency.

Speaking at an event hosted by the Foreign Policy Association in New York, Bundesbank President and ECB Governing Council member Axel Weber said China manipulated its currency.

He was addressing China's currency policy in relation to the country's current account surplus and explained that Germany's surplus shouldn't be compared to China's. He credited Germany's surplus to strong production and technology, and stressed the policy differences between the two nations.

all down day on eu futures so far have been tests .. low volume down days
