Hi F
Here is my opinion regarding your question:
Dear Golfer,
I have been reading this thread from beginning after I had a very bad month last month.
Don't worry, just be patient and have discipine. Especially when you do have limited time to trade. One tends to get frustrated with this system when you see the nice setups that are being missed because you could not be in front of your screen.
I started to learn Forex trading this year. Thank you so much for keeping this thread alive.
I am only up to page 157 so far (out of 478). It does take time to go through all of them even thought I have learnt a lot from my reading so far.
Yes, that is the purpose of reading through the entire thread. You can pick up some nice tips BUT you must look at what is working for you. Ignore things that look complicated and that you don't feel comfortable with.
It seems to me that your current way of trading this system is somewhat different from your rules posted in 2007.
Yes, I also went though a period of trying everything out myself because I did not understand the system, price action and market rhythm. I was trading indicators and not the price itself.
You have no any indicators now, but back then you had quite a number of them. Should I still go through all pages of this thread to understand why or take a short cut? Your advice is most welcome!!
Only if you want to evaluate what other members have done and look what is working for you. I posted the links to all the relevant posts on page 1. I think that would be sufficient. BUT, like you saw, I am back to Phillip's original system
Like you, I only have limited time for trading (between GMT 0800 to 1200). I found that 5min system suits me better as I don’t like to leave my trade open while I am away from my computer.
I would like to learn other 5 min system as well. If you don’t mind, can you let me know where are the threads of other 5 min systems that you are trading.
Yes, I do have three 5min systems on three paris currently. More than enough for me:
This 5min system (follow the trend)
Vantage 5min system (more about the turn around in the market)
Another 5min system (To be bought - it is almost a mix between the previous two - it uses only 1-2 indicators)
I hope it helps
.
Thank you.
