been doing this live about 2 months.
what seems to stop me making big profits is the thoughts.
when in trade if in profit "what if it comes back best get out, wish i stayed in wents lot further"
when in a loser "maybe it will come back hang on a bit longer ahh shit get out"

Anyone have similar thoughts ?
making green pips large and red pips small this is my goal.

There are soo many pretty adverts re FX and other trading, guess we need to buy before we try. IG's ok most of the time, just that mentioned quirk becoming all too familiar. Plus today I notice the spreads have increased, hmm

Spent months before live trading reading books, watching videos all weekend and free time researching.

When i started live found out "I" was the only thing i had not researched and "I" seem to be the key to success or loss.

No books or videos on youtube about "I" or me lol

just have to learn by practise then.
making green pips large and red pips small this is my goal.

i am a scalper, and i need some platform which allow quick actions on M1 charts. sighs,...IG is abit too slow for me.

I think so to. If 1h closes well below 1.3936 it would be great!
Would expect 1.3888- zone.

If you have found a method that you are comfortable with and it works for you, whereby you are making consistent profits, then be disciplined and stick to it like glue. That is what successful trading is all about.

No one is 100% right and I get drawdown too when the levels don't quite work or they overshoot. That is just the nature of the ever evolving market.

It sounds like you are on the right track my friend!

I have invested in my Forex education as I am in it for the long haul, whereas a lot of people are trying to learn from forums like FF. Sure, you can get small tidbits of good information, but there are a million different ways of trading and in an unstructured place like this, it can become very confusing to the novice trader.

Why am I still on Forex Factory?... My time will come when I will say goodbye to this place, but in the mean time I will offer other new traders guidance on what I have learned in my short time trading Forex and point them in the right direction. I have set goals and once they are attained I will be doing many other things and unfortunately FF is not one of them!

Trading is 80% psychology, but believe me, there are a lot of people who won't believe that

It's a matter of having your own rules and sticking to them. I'm still trying to stick to mine rigidly, and I've been trading live for 2 years now. Every so often I forget my rules and make less, or make a massive loss, and because of that instead of being fabulously wealthy I tend to tread water and merely make a living.
I operate with clear definite rules, if I break them I lose BIG!

Just stick to your plan and manage risk effectively. Besides experience and hours doing this thing makes one perfect.

It is also the hardest bit to overcome and control! You can put rules into your trading plan that will address your shortcomings, but then you need the discipline to stick with those rules, which is easier said than done.

Take time to step away and reflect. Look in the mirror and reflect on your actions and behaviour every time you trade and your emotions associated with them.

If you don't even know what your shortcomings are, take the test at http://www.tharptradertest.com and answer all of the questions as honestly as you can. Take your time and really think of what your answer would be. There is no right or wrong answer, but if you are honest with your answers you will be surprised how accurate it is at determining you psychological trader's profile. Also there is no right or wrong profile, but it will give you information as to how to tackle your shortcomings! This is just the first step.

Seems like the 15min bars will be testing 1.3936 from downunder a little bit.
Expect a move down.
If we hold below 1.3936.
And if we get a clear break of 1.3924, that should be confirmed

I agree with you, the question is how far we go down? Will there be enough room for a scalp with it being so slow. Seems like the sellers in the 20's just threw in the towel

Ya I don`t know if there will be enough Volume at all. Don`t seems like it right now. Testing 38% fib from the recent upswing right now.
Think we will get our answer when we see how the next 1h/ 4h candle closes. Below 1.3924 and we are bearish I would think! Over 1.3955 Bullish.
Between and we are still in range.. Just my 2 cents.
