I've only done one thing that seems to work on JPY pairs.

have an initial fast crazy drop like 200 pips. and get long on really low time-frame for a few pips. because GJ for example is moving ap and down HUGE

but it's not something that i really can trust.

It is amazing how powerful this uptrend was. I have never seen such extended automated buying for so long...never on the 4 hour time frame, not even in months when we went 2000+ pips to the upside or downside. That price action in the past was deliberate, fast, and fueled by fear. September until now has had different motivation driving it, hard to say what exactly but one thing does come to mind. On Bloomberg a few days ago there was this person interviewed who had limited knowledge of the markets from a trader's perspective yet he said something strikingly accurate.

"Similar price action happened with the credit bubble, the tech bubble, the oil bubble (was 14x and went down to low 30s), the housing bubble, etc where PA was pushed up in an almost straight line before the much more gruesome drop that followed".

Is this scenario any different, regarding what we see with the Euro? The stock market? Gold? What troubles me most is how adamant Trichet was at his last speech, acting like nothing was wrong, yet, just last week there were protests all over Europe. Even my uncle who has a somewhat decent job in a EU country had his pay cut by 25%. Yet everything is A okay?... bakane

Anyways for now...the trend is your friend...buyers..you know what to do off this most recent bounce.

You are right, man,

I too can not remember such an forced uptrend, and I am traiding for a long time now.

Look at stock markets - that is what the algos do........

Waiting for the biggest flash crash ever.

But I am an Elliottican, so I have to be generally bearish in this times :-)

My take is they are very aware of the effect of their comments on the markets. Verbal intervention. The Fed heads have been saying a variety of things to slow down the USD slide. They want the devaluation to be "orderly". Bullard's comments are more of the same. Coming right before NFP. Can they have the actual numbers cooked to order? Why not.

I am checking my gut-o-meter and its indicating more downside after the NFP. But it doesn't really work that well. So I just sit on hands and watch in the aftermath for a chance to scalp. I like the volatility but I can't be trusted around too much of it.

It was due to a positive reversal where another attempt was made to push through 3500 levels. Then short covering and QE2 plan expectation sent the cross UP.

Daily analysis made all targets validated.

got an entry low at 1.38440 exactly ... 80.21% of entrys unwinded at 1.38786 and 1.38857 ...

If we are in wave 4 now with a target around 1.3916, so we will get a contracting leading diagonal.

With that said, downside for wave 5 is limited. A reasonable target would be around 1.3825 for a short in time wave 4, may reach 1.3794 if 4 stretches out very long


This targets are invalidated, if the recent up move is only a correction within wave 3
