Still say play between 3940 -3970 to see if there are any cheaper deals before the push

I'd prefer scalping long at moment.
At least that way if the strong trend thats been running for weeks continues your with the flow .

Should be no shorting here, maybe short at around 1.44/1.45 but what would the confirmation be? This might even sweep past that long term trend line.

If you do nothing else just hold the longs at least until a daily close lower than the previous days low.

Where did you get that figure? If that were true there (which I doubt it is) it would mean that the drive lower is being driven by something other than trades, whether it be general investments (onthis now shaky economy) or industry (more likely).

Have seen this high vol on a reversed hourly bar ?
Bar took out the previous hourly low, but not its high and it's closing on its low.
Well something is cooking up, i would not be surprise to see 1,3900 again before 1,4000
I'll wait the next hourly bar for a possible down move.

Yes, but we have been waiting for a significant retracement for a long time (at least I have) and if this is the beginning of it, rather than just a dip, we might be looking at a very long fall.

For now, I will just watch and wait to see which way things go.

also from myfx community

19% of traders are short USD/JPY while 81% of traders are long USD/JPY
52.83 lots short vs 217.3 lots long.

Here is a link showing retail traders 79% long.

Frankly, whoever these retail traders are have their heads up their asses. Perhaps they bought into all of the intervention chatter...
