For the USD to pull off a reversal under the cloud of QE2 it will take sustained bad news from the EZ and/or a persistent bout of risk aversion.

Forget fundamentals on this pair right now, they're nonsense. There has been no good news out of Europe for weeks and if we're trying to work out just how much weaker the US is fundamentally, then we're gunna get killed.
Long EU is the fashionable trade right now, that's all.

Btw, there has been a ton of selling on this pair so far today.

1.3980 is looking to be resistance for now maybe go play with 3950 to gather strenght.

Its around 50 % of current up move
and previous 5 minute high .

maybe retest?

Any predictions on what is going to happen at the 1.4 level? I'm thinking we're going to get a bunch of folks taking profit just below that level, sending the pair down to 3980 or so before resuming the upward trend.

edit: yeah, looks like the psych level has got folks hesitant to pull the trigger.
