My Last trade for today....... shorted for retrace EU needs some bullet at that area to move higher.......

Jacob. I think that the same fundamentals are in play as last time for Gold to continue to climb higher. With so many countries continuing to devalue their currencies with QE like the BOE, Eurozone, US FED big time, Japanese intervention, Swiss intervention, it leaves Gold, Silver the Aud and the NZD extremely attractive.

Gold is kind of in a win win situation like I said before. If news is bad it bolsters the belief the FED will introduce more QE. If news is good commodities and anti-dollar assets are taking off. I think we may still see Gold go higher. In the short term I'm not sure if we have a pull back but I wont be surprised to see 1450-1500 within the next 3 months if fundamentals stay the same.

we have been in a deflation, QE1 didn't stop it, that is why they want a QE2, which won't stop it

I think if your short goes the other way a little, BOJ intervention will be aggressive...it has to be more aggressive than its previous attempt. It may be USDs last chance at a breather unless NFP numbers make a change.

Continuing my calculation the EUR had an inflation of about 1,3% which is just inline, if slightly lower, with what the ECB likes and shows they are sitll working well within their objectives.

Ach so ... btw ... 1.3917/ 20 ... that has been our upside projection ... for some of those reasons that you mentioned there ... but we came to other conclusions ... we have said 200 ma in weekly that is our target to be hit at first ...

China wont revalue its yuan, Japan shall keep their intervention on hold at mom, ansian will keep trying weahening their ccy, EU want a stronger euro so other people keek buying its bonds, US want to devalue its US,....the world is collapsing, buy gold.....................

I would not bet on a BOJ intervention before the NFP.
They failed two times already, so their only chance would be a soften market due to the NFP #'s and maybe with the SNB's intervention as well.
I guess time will tell ....as always

Im wondering how long equities can go without a sharp correction? USD value continues to decline but at a slower pace than equities climb. Somethings gotta give. Equities, Gold...as the USDs decline looks to have slowed in comparison.

Actually planning something along those lines... but more of a mentor trading company with a new class every 6 months. I want to train new traders, pay them a salary and have them trading firm capital... really give them an atmosphere they can learn and become successful in without worrying about living expenses, etc. Probably a couple years away from launching that (I have another company I'm already in the midst of building).

look at the last few minutes, since eur stopped climbing stocks have started retreating.

To all saying there is no inflation, you should look up some books, or at least articles by http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hjalmar_Schacht (incase you don't know who he is). Basicly one of his major ideas is that the 1920s inflation in Weimar started first in the financial markets, yes, it started in forex and other speculation and after that it began in the real sector. Too bad his ideas have been forgotten by central bankers today who watch all the wrong indicators.

Mas-Yes I see that...you always have solid outlook when it comes to equities in relation to currency. I'm talking more for a pullback/retreat from equities scenario. Your thoughts? When do equities get tired?
