Cheers EV everyonce in a while I go over the top with things I'm watching on my charts trying to get as many pips as possible then it takes a couple of losing days and I'm doing the exact same thing I was before being profitable again lol.

I know what you mean. I've lost count of the number of times I've juggled around with different S/R's and MA's, trying to maximise my chances of success. Once in a while, it pays to give yourself a kick up the arse and tell yourself to "KEEP IT SIMPLE!!!!!" Usually pays off in the end!

i am quite new here,i have been going through the discussion,can some1 please give me the time indicator [ie the 1 that tell u the time left for the bar] i use a lot of trend line alot some connects some dont how do i know that i have drawn the right 1

I don't use those Ema's in 5 min trading .Why I was bearish was what I said in the chart and had look before in 15 min TF and there we reach resistance ,so scroll to 5 min and just wait to go short,thats all.Really don't know much about flags and that first flag or what is it i should be thera but I just missed it.So probbably just pure luck if u saying that flag indicated move up and one more thing I know that was CT but risk was little so I just tried and try to move my SL tighter.

Best to have a look through the different methods on this forum, mate. There are methods in there that revolve around trendlines, so do a search. You could also Google it.

It's ok, mate.......the flag just surprised me, that's all.

Seeing as we're on the subject - flags, pennants, triangles, wedges etc......all these patterns can be potentially profitable for you, once you get an eye for them. You'll notice that I post them on my charts occasionally.

))lol,another conflunce in my tool box I never thought about that as I never look on those Ema's.

Hi EV a nice psych level trade here.
5min double bottom closing above 75 level to me price was in a bull flag so a trade off the bottom was perfect so you could get BE stops before top of bull flag incase it didn't breakout.
Exit at 800 psych level could have held out until the 25 psych level but tucker started speaking at 11.25 and didn't want to take the risk.
Yelow lines ar 75 and 00.

You do much today?

Very nice, mate, and as for the bulllish flag...well spotted! It's amazing how often these patterns crop up, and once you get your eye in for them, there's some nice profits to be made!!
I haven't done anything today, mate, I'm sorry to say. Woke up feeling decidedly under the weather, so I've just been on the sidelines, feeling a bit sorry for myself! Trading demands that you're on the ball all the time, so feeling the way I do today, it's probably best if I stay out of it for the time being. Pity, really.....some great moves this late morning/early afternoon.

Cheers EV. Yep they are great patterns to watch for and when they coincide with a psych,pivot or hl/lh ect like you say its a killer method lol.
