Hello everybody, hoping everybody had a nice weekend, and will have a very nice week ahead, clebrating the 19900 page last week and now we are at page 20000 wow that is a lot of pages for a tread

I think it dosen't makes sence to come from all the way down there not to touch the 61% of the second fall 3543/1875 or the 50% from the first 6137/1875 I think is just a retrace, carefull guys, choose wise, look at the charts, all TF's

Hi,

I am new to forex, started a mini account with 2k USD and lost 1k, now stopped the live account.

Please suggest how to start, what should be better strategy as a beginner long term or scalping? i want to trade EUR/USD but please suggest should it be good idea or i go for any less volume pair?
I have gone through many major indicators and getting familiar with these on demo.

Please guide anybody.

I support your idea of a corrective down before topping. Ideally I would like to see a clear macd divergence on both the daily and H4 chart prior to shorting, but with recent pa, we never know...

The Australian stock market is likely to rise after US stocks and commodity prices gained following mostly positive economic reports for the US and Chinese economies.
When the Sydney Futures Exchange last traded on Saturday morning, the December share price index futures contract was 25 points higher at 4611 points. But trading volumes could be light, with New South Wales, South Australia and the ACT on holiday.
The Australian dollar, meanwhile, touched yet another fresh two-year high and was trading at 97.4 US cents this morning.
What you need to know

 

  1. The SPI was 25 points higher at 4611
  2. The Australian dollar jumped to 97.31 US cents
  3. In the US, the S&P500 rose 5.04 points to 1146.24
  4. In Europe, the FTSE 100 rose 44.28 points to 5592.90
  5. Gold rose $US8.20 an ounce to $US1317.80
  6. Oil rose $US1.61 a barrel to $US81.58

A lot of europeans this weekend saying how great the Euro is and it's going to pop. While it's not too many pips from 4000, it doesn't seem to have the ability to go up much this week. Possibly after this week, but if it makes it I think it'll tap only.
On my charts we're into a no-go needs to breath zone is why(i have a set of bands that doesn't normally fail me too often, but like i said 4000 isn't far, so on a weekly chart it might not even be a nanometer and could hit though). plus what everyone else sees.

which stinks because I am torn if i want to play this long bounce on the 5min or not for asia range trade.

Rounding bottom phase of spring time 2010 ...

We want to travel with it for 1.3737 - 1.3727 at first ... 1.3710 - 1.3693 possible in an extention ... uptrend intact for a move towards 1.3821 - 1.3835 as long as above 1.3745 - 1.3721 ...

Actually expecting the EU to drop now to the 1.35 area before picking up power again to move to 1.40

At least for the start of this week we just close the opening gap, pips made, back to the pool.

I don't know those light headed Europeans but we want Euro to go down to parity, even better below parity in these economic circumstances. You cannot make a living by selling your gods and services to yourself.

That's why thy're rioting in the streets. Also, You gotta love those stress tests that said the Irish banks were in good shape....don't believe the media, talk to some real Europeans and get the truth. They WANT the Euro to come down ASAP.
Its the politicians and bankers that are screwing things up on BOTH sides of the pond.

Kinda funny, somebody on this thread suggested China buy a Greek Island a couple weeks back. IMO, I don't think China REALLY wants to help out Greece. China is pissed at the recent US attempt to control the yuan. This is more posturing than anything
