IMO,

With the heavy collapse of the US and USD recently,

It seems easy to trade these days

Just simly :

- Buy the Pairs with USD Suffix (XAU/USD, EUR/USD, GBP/USD, AUD/USD...)

- Sell the Pairs with USD prefix (USD/CHF, USD/JPY, USD/CAD...)

Do not know when the Sky will fall

I actually believe your thought on Fed backing off QE2 as there has been quite a bit of second thought. In fact the more the media puts QE2 out there, the dirty work is being done by the media getting the same results for free in a sense. What a deal.
Ignored
The reason to highlight QE2 is to keep equities going up till election to create a fake feeling of growing economy. But the reality is different, any stimulus will make things worse in real and only benefit these 'too big to fail' companies. Corporate greed and hungry politicians are messing with the inflation and making things bad for the common man.
Fed need to keep telling it is 'desirale' but will not go for it.

The reversal in equities and USD will be free fall. just my thought and I am not holding any USD shorts (long EU/AU/GU) for long time.

I agree, that it why I think there are those that would rather let the media "stimulate" sentiment.

Well guys and gals, another consolidation upwards week is pretty much done, and in the process an interesting setup for next week has been created.

1)The uptrend channel from the lows is still intact with pa now testing the upper wall. Usually what happens is a move towards the lower wall in full force or consolidation style. Depending on how that happens, it should create a clearer picture for where we are headed for the rest of the year.

2) 3 white soldiers on the weekly chart. What that says is next week should present us with either a small bearish doji candle with the lower wick extending to roughly 61.8% fib retracement of this week's candle or a huge candlestick that retests the lows from 3 weeks ago.

3)Fed intervention has been the major play this past month, ignoring fundies and technicals and buying on any retracement to the downside in full force. The big question is...how long will this continue? Especially since "quantitative easing" is mentioned so often these days. (if the feds give any hint towards this the uptrend should break up in full force like December of last year)

Next week should determine the trend for the rest of the year
