A correction is overdue and with EU hitting weekly supply I have gone short.

Entry: 1.3670
SL: 1.3702
1st Target: 1.3560
2nd Target: 1.3420
3rd Target: Trailing Stop

I would have followed you on this one at the same price but it made a new high again during this hour, so i won't.

Anyway it's better buying dips than anticipating a potential top

But good luck to you on this one!!

That's an odd idea: if the euro was @ 1.10 all those countries would be exporting they way out of the trouble, Greece, Portugal, Spain would have had a gazillion visitors from the US and Asia, demand for services, hotels would be booming...in other words, they wouldn't be in the streets, instead they would be working.

Just a thought: How ironic is it that there is rioting going on all over Europe and yet sentiment is positive?
Ignored
the poorer the people, the more positive the sentiment. that's how the game works. we will see a significant change, when every citizen has 3 jobs and earns 1 euro per hour, then this will be discussed as "too much" again.

It is not that European sentiment is positive, more that the $ is weakening due to threat of QE2 and therefore the Euro is benefiting from it.

Open up a weekly chart and you will see where I am coming from! I am not interested in the h1 chart. h4 and higher only! Look at that drop from 1.3691!

I will add that when u have seen a HFT algo in action you don't need more prove that the odds are against you if you retail trade that timeframes. 1 min chart is way too SLOW !!! for that.

If you want to offset the odds you will also need a more centralize market than Forex with automated trading (check for APAMA if you are interested in HFT in Forex) and deep coding and math knowledge and obviously a bigger account and direct access to the market.

In any case I wish those fast intraday retail traders good luck with their trading.

I agree with you 1min is too slow. I also agree with you that one must be properly set up to be able to compete with the others. Me personaly, I traded very short time frames a very long time ago when the landscape was very different. For me now the object of this game is to trade less, with less stress. I'm too old to trade a gallizion times a day. Less is more now.
Look Sharp/Trade Tight

don't do it. it's useless. don9t think that you are the smartest and can do sth that all others failed or that you can think of an approach that no one else thought off.

if it were possible to mathematically define the markets, trust me, somebody would have already done that and would now be the richest person on earth.

you can't make a system that is 100% right. there will always be losses - that is why money management is the most important aspect of trading
