Somethings got to give in EZ. IMO just the chatter about QE2 does some of the dirty work that I see the Fed wanting to achieve. If Euro bulls think QE2 is going to help them other than a quick initial rise, think twice. EZ manufacturing, banks, and services will not be thrilled in my limited estimation. Maybe I'm all washed up. Time to short soon. In my estimation Euro is standing on the edge, while the US is trying to back away from it.

An excellent article in the WSJ on the politics behind the euro panic this year. IMO. a must read for any trader at least as general culture.

well, this is interesting. german magazine www.spiegel.de says, the movement of may,7th was due to algorithms going crazy (seriously). in the article they're basically warning of too many non-manual trading-computers now doing their job on markets, and what happens, if they "go mad".

funny, isn't it? each country get's their own piece of the truth...

Hi all guys! Help me read these numbers for this week!
Below I have three graphs depicting the contracts for sale / purchase of a table and institutional options expiry in October!
I personally see a big resistance to 1:35 ... 1:36 and a good support to 1.30
1:28 Whereas we are the highest and the market struggling to cross the strike 1:35 basing on the table would sell now, but looking at the graph???, timing of demand for euros, which contrasts the first analysis! Note the strong decline in purchase contracts in yen and the ongoing sell off of the dollar!
It 's all uncorrelated and confused! What's wrong?

No majore decision may betaken overnight & as usdx has mixed signals , h4 , m15 buy singnal but H1 & M30 sells while M1 flat & price stalled so can expect a bounce at the very weekly 200ma low ma . daily & weekly very strong down rally ofcourse .
Just opposite eu .
eu set tp 3410 with sl to go for the day.though once priice that down may easily continue down towards my other levels 3386 & 3286 .may see what will happen next morning too .

US Dollar is so weak right now... Euro has still room to move up ( But obviously a small pullback is possible before)

... USD/Singapour dollar falling down the 1.32... I remember 1.42 couple of times ago. Money is moving massively into China an asian countries

That was the day after the fast Flash Crash and it was definitively algos in action.

However weeks after they only show that the selling was real and the were not only crazy algos hitting the sell but another prove that big institutional players (not manual trading but algos in pure action) position themselves a lot faster than all of retail traders and before any politicians can do something about it.

In any case, the old audio of the crash was/is/will be a classic in my collection of special days to trade.

Yes, but retraced immediately. Gold did not confirm. Watch if gold hits 1306/10 or 1316/25, we'll likely see a larger drop.

Still gold hasn't seen any real downside, just consolidations... we haven't seen yet any big price volatility. So Gold seems ready to pop soon

well..after so much patience at last come some down.. exit from my shorts at 3448 and will take that again on 3487..if it go there.. otherwise will take a small long at 3436..
