some views saw it continuing down, for sure.

we talked here it could turn.

it's starting. pitty i just trade EU. but EU will follow the $. so it's down.

also a pitty it didn't go to 1.333 where i intended to load more shorts...

well, maybe a test with no demand up before a bigger move starts and it will get my pendind short there!

have to rest the bones now.

The correlation is actually not that easy... and has been shown to be only 5-10%+ positive...

but the UJ has been going down these days opposed to the EU going up.

i am saying that, in my view, tonight the opposite will happen.

i might add something else (being short and thinking of letting these shorts run). yesterday and today we have been in a flag. slightly downwards channel of aprox 85 pip width.

so i will be looking tomorrow morning (GMT) at the bottom of that flag(expect to, at least) to see if it breaks or if its bottom is a good place to long.

3280 is still a big number in my book.

Stocks set to drop as economic jitters return

Australian shares are expected to decline after falls in US equities on a surprise jump in unemployment claims there and more signs of trouble for Europe's economy.
This morning on the Sydney Futures Exchange, the December share price index futures contract was 45 points lower at 4613 points. That follows on from fractional gains on the major local indices yesterday.
What you need to know

 

  1. The SPI was down 45 points at 4613
  2. The dollar fell to 94.92 US cents
  3. In the US, the S&P500 fell 9.45 points to 1124.83
  4. In Europe, the FTSE 100 fell 4.83 points to 5547.08
  5. Gold rose $US4.20 an ounce to $US1296.30
  6. Oil was up 47 US cents a barrel at $US75.18
  7. The Reuters Jefferies CRB Index rose 0.45%
