its no good to short I think.. extremely expensive and inefficient.. I think the thing to do is maintain no position until we see pull back support affirming and new buys at lower prices showing. or maybe im just a to old school.

quite an interesting conversation here.

I travelled Australia in 2001 and I remember it being cheaper than Europe and the US.

No matter if it's a Restaurant, a cafe or some clothes, it was cheaper than Germany.

Clothes were always very cheap in the US, so I I'm not sure if they were cheaper in OZ, but besides that everything was quite cheap.

I once went from the Main Train Station in Sydney to the Blue Mountains which is at least a 100km ride and it takes 1-2 hours.

I'm not absolutely sure, but I think I paid something like $3 for that. Also the Bus Rides across the Country were at least 50-70% Cheaper than they were in Germany or Europe.

Back then m8, Aussie was .60 to the usd too, that made everything seem cheap. I remember celebrating the millennium wondering if we were going to hit .50, things have changed a bit.

BTW am short the AUD atm too.

Everything in aus is expensive today. Housing prices have double, cars, computers are more expensive, fuel is expensive. Due to China's demand for resources that led to the explosion in the mining industry, average salary has increased.

Be very wary. A reversal of rattling proportions is just down the road. Bullish sentiment in the market is higher than the April top. Bearish sentiment is lowest in over a year. This is one big bull trap taking place since July.

that is true. And even in 2001 Electronics were ridiculously expensive. My Camera got stolen once and I had to get a new one in Downtown Sydney.

I wanted to get the same, since I was very happy with it. It was twice the price of what I paid in Germany. The Lady in the Photoshop told me that it's becaus they have to import their goods. I just thought to myself, wtf?

We pay up to 40% import taxes and a Camera from Japan (Canon) or maybe China costs half as much in Germany as it does in Australia, even though the OZ$ is at 0.60?

Who takes all the money?
