Cable above Resistance 3 now.. I'll be very careful to

go LONG here. (about 120 pips above Pivot )

I use v16....but I dont think it matters, i set fast sma = slow sma = 10

If I remember corect...Geoffs backtest whas better without the sma 197 filter, better profit bur more drawdown.

I´m very glad with the original system....If it continue, well......I like my job...but if It continue I can dream about....

Heh I knew it YEN! bought it yesterday.. Wake up and it's up

200 pips - Intervention.. From now on it's safe to buy below

84 and average down. IMHO.

I did a back test with 16 today and it showed the same losses without the 197 that we had with the 197 and you had more trades. So you're right. The profit is higher.
Something to think about.

Why use v16? when you can set SMA fast to 10 and slow to perhaps

17/24/34 you choose.. Lower number for slow SMA will produce higher

# of trades but also some loses over longer period of back test.

I like sma 30 for now... YTD no losses.. Will trade that..

yes, 24 very well, I'm testing on ECM with very low spreads

probably that's why no losses..

I did test 31 slow SMA, looks good too me.. Will stick with that from now on, -

no loss YTD..

24 SMA also no loss but little bit aggressive I think.., but

even with like 1.8 year worth of backtest (for 24 SMA) with some losses it does

come up with the higher profit after all due to the more frequent trading,

still 31 SMA, not that far behind with A bit less losses over same period

Hope it helps..

P.S: Even if both Slow and Fast SMA point to the same direction its still not guarantee

trigger for the trade, - yesterday is a good example of that, cause Fractals should line up as well.
